Here are my 3 favorite ways to elevate my tablescapes as a luxury wedding planner ⤵️

1. Rich textures & layers
2. Add light height
3. Keep it simple

When it comes to designing tablescapes, my goal is always to create a welcoming, layered experience for each guest

I always think about what they see, feel, and smell

It starts with rich base linens and unique materials like suede, satin, or velvet to bring depth and warmth. Then I add dimension through varied heights with florals and candles to bring an intimate feel that is both beautiful and functional

For me, the secret lies in simplicity—it’s about creating a feeling that’s ‘just right’

I call it the ‘Goldilocks Method’: just enough to feel luxurious, but never too much. Every element is chosen to enhance the experience without getting in the way of connection 🥰

There's something truly timeless about a church wedding—the echoes of history, the grandeur of the architecture, and the sacredness of the space all come together to create a moment that feels almost otherworldly

When you stand at the altar, surrounded by loved ones, and exchange vows in a place filled with so much meaning, it’s pure magic ❤️

I've planned lots of weddings over the past 10 years, and the ones that stick with me aren't the ones with the biggest budgets or the most elaborate details.

They're the ones where I watch a couple completely lose themselves in the moment. The ones where the couple steals a quiet moment together during cocktail hour, just watching their people celebrate. Where they catch each other's eye across the dance floor and burst out laughing at some inside joke no one else gets.

Because here's what no one tells you about wedding planning: the closer you get to your day, the harder it becomes to remember why you wanted to celebrate in the first place.

You start thinking about seating charts instead of your vows. Vendor schedules instead of your partner's smile. What could go wrong instead of what's about to go right.

My job is to create space for you to actually experience what you're celebrating.

A chair isn’t just a place to sit. It’s part of the experience

It frames your ceremony. It defines your reception. It’s in every wide shot, every dinner toast, every moment your guests are fully immersed in your wedding. And yet, chairs are one of the most overlooked design choices

But let me tell you something as a wedding planner with over 10 years of experience: the right chair can make the space!

It can bring warmth, texture, contrast. It can elevate a minimalist table or let a floral-heavy design breathe.

And when you find the perfect one? Book it!

Chairs (the good ones, at least) go fast, and swapping them last minute often means spending more to make up for the visual gap elsewhere 🙃

So, if there’s ever a place to splurge, let it be the one thing your guests will interact with all night. Because a well-designed chair isn't just a seat—it’s part of the story

Your wedding day should feel easy, stress-free, and full of moments you actually get to enjoy

But without the right timeline, things can go off track real fast 😅

I’ve seen it happen—brides rushing through their first look, guests waiting around with no idea what’s next, and golden hour portraits missed. No one wants that

A solid plan makes all the difference, and the good news is it doesn’t have to be complicated!

Swipe through for the biggest timeline mistakes to avoid. And if you want to take the stress out of planning, head to the link in bio to grab my exact template! 🤗

Happy 6th anniversary to Aireka + Myles! 🤍

Six years later, I'm still cheering them on from the sidelines

It's such a privilege to watch my couples' stories continue to unfold after "I do." The families they create, the dreams they chase, and the way they show up for each other—it never gets old

Here's to many more years of love, laughter, and all the adventures still ahead! ✨

Your wedding color palette is doing more than you think 👀

It’s setting the mood. It’s shaping your guests’ experience. It’s guiding your creative team—florists, stationers, designers—on how to bring your vision to life

The key is to think beyond just the swatches
✨ How does the color shift in different lighting (daylight vs. candlelight)?
✨ Does it enhance the venue, or is it working against the space?
✨ Will it stay timeless in photos, or feel dated in a few years?

For spring + summer weddings, we’re seeing everything from soft, airy neutrals to deep, dramatic hues—each one telling a different story

Year one of business hit different 🫠

I thought I knew what I was doing. I thought working 24/7 meant I was serious about success. I thought getting published was the ultimate goal

Turns out I was wrong about a lot of things...

Here's what I wish someone had told me: your first year isn't about having it all figured out. It's about learning what works, what doesn't, and who you want to become as a business owner

The comparison trap is real. The hustle culture messaging is loud. And the pressure to be "successful" right away can make you lose sight of why you started in the first place

But if you can get clear on your process, focus on the clients in front of you, and remember that not everything is urgent, you'll save yourself a lot of stress and probably make better decisions along the way

To everyone in their first year of business (or thinking about starting): Be patient with yourself. You're learning. You're growing. And you're exactly where you need to be!! ❤️

What's one thing you wish you'd known when you started? Drop it in the comments

A year ago, Will & Elise celebrated their love at Terranea, and yesterday, they reached out to say they're back there, "reliving every moment and still floating"

There's something so beautiful about couples who return to their wedding venue on their anniversary. It tells me we got it right

We didn't just plan their wedding. We created a feeling. One that stays with them, one that brings them back, one that makes them grateful a full year later

Will & Elise wanted a celebration that felt like them—inspired by their travels, filled with the people they love most, designed around joy instead of just tradition

So we built something timeless. Textures and colors that told their story. Music that moved through the night. Details that felt deeply personal

And here we are, 365 days later, and they're still floating 🥹

That's the goal, always. To create something that doesn't just look beautiful in photos, but lives in your heart long after the last dance

Happy anniversary, Will & Elise. Thank you for trusting me with one of the most important days of your life, and for the reminder of why I love this work so much ❤️
