Shrine World Music Venue’s mission is to establish a positive creative atmosphere for both artists and audiences from all backgrounds.

8-10pm: Simon Metzger is a New York City–based jazz drummer, bandleader, and composer who has been honing his craft since early childhood and has trained with renowned musicians including Kendrick Scott, Clarence Penn, and Gerald Clayton. Simon Metzger

10-12am: Gabe Newman and Max Kassoy are jazz musicians from Brooklyn. They have played together many times over the past three years, mostly as a duet. They started this band in order to play some of their original compositions and to expand on what they had developed as a duo. Gabe is studying Jazz guitar at McGill University, and Max studies tenor saxophone at Oberlin Conservatory.

12am: One of the greats, mixing old school with new school. Music ranges from R&B, Hip Hop, Salsa, African music, Reggae, Reggaeton and more!

7-8pm: Klaire is a versatile jazz vocalist, pianist, and composer from Hamburg, Germany. With artistic roots in jazz, blues, and pop, she studied Jazz Vocals at the University of the Arts Bremen and completed her Master’s degree in the international New York Jazz program at the Prins Claus Conservatory in the Netherlands in 2025. Featuring Etienne Wittich on guitar. .music

8-10pm: Paul Austerlitz brings his distinctive vodou horn sound to Shrine! This performance includes drums, bass, keys, tied together to create funky harmonies and energetic rhythms.

10-12am: Troy Weekes , proudly from Harlem, New York, has been singing since the age of 3 and performing since the age of 14. Beyond his powerful voice, he is also a songwriter, actor, dancer, emcee, and podcast host. Troy sings Gospel, Neo-Soul and R&B music, embodying the best qualities in each of these styles, and creating a unique sound all his own.

8-10pm: Bring your instrument. Be a Stranger. Join Random Strangers Jam every Monday for a fully improvised psychedelic funk rock jam session led by Sky Demetri and his band. Come prepared to create new music on the spot - every 5-7 minutes, half the band takes a seat and is replaced by musicians from the audience, the new group of random strangers jams on a fresh key and concept - and the rotation continues! Join the email list at RandomStrangersJam.com! All jammers must sign in on the official sign up sheet. 8-10pm: The Shrine Big Band Returns! A 16-piece big band, with three trumpets, three trombones, four saxes, flute, piano, guitar, bass, and drums. Come and experience the experimental and hard-swinging sounds every first Sunday of the month.

7-9pm: Funk and Jazz group, Winterfisch Trio, is hitting the stage!

9-10pm [Featured]: Bees Deluxe is a blues-rooted, jazz-inspired, funk-infused band from Boston, on a mission to drag the music of Chicago in the 60s and the Blue Note catalog kicking and screaming into the 21st century. Bees Deluxe

10-12am: The McQuay Morton Quartet: We have a unique sound, pulling from each of our own experiences and cultures which include Jazz, Gospel, Hip-hop, RnB, Funk, Afro-Latin, Neo-soul, and more. As music students, all coming from different places in the US, we gravitated towards each other naturally through our desire to create an original sound and play the music we love.

7-8pm [Featured]: Dave Kardas band plays Blues/Jazz/Fusion and will be performing music from their album "Fire and Ice" as well as new releases like "Living in the Moment" and "Joyride". DKB has played all around NYC, Ct and Texas.

8-10pm: Saints and Sinners is a band with more than one flavor. There’s the down and dirty blues of their Chicago and Mississippi inspirations, the hedonistic excess of ‘70s rock and funk, plus the here and now – trying to create something new and stir things up.

10-12am: Althea Pettigrew is a Harlemite who sings and plays all the great Standards of Jazz/Blues/R&B. She expresses soulful music for the soul.

8-10pm: Caffeine is an avant-jazz collective pushing the edges of improvisation, groove, and sonic textures in the heart of NYC. Blending raw spontaneity with deep musicality, the group features Juilliard graduate Chris Bittner on saxophone, the harmonically adventurous Moshe Elmakias on piano, fusion bassist Pete Prendergast laying down elastic low-end foundations, and NYC gun-for-hire drummer B.A. Sprentz driving the music with explosive energy and dynamic precision. 10-12am [Featured]: Through a pool of sounds from Jazz to Funk and back again, virtuoso rhythm Tap-dancer Omar Edwards and his band, the New York Jazz Gypsies take patrons on a journey through sound.
