Remember..... when spinning vinyl, never use a pioneer mixer! Not only does it ruin the sound quality of your vinyl due to incorrect RIAA curve, but its recently come to my attention there are inconsistencies with some batches of the V10 and A9 which can present 3 to 6mS latency between the headphone and booth output due to DSP issues!

In general, the poor audio quality coming from all pioneer mixers is the main contributing factor towards permanent hearing damage, as DJs find they have to turn the headphone/monitor mix up higher than they normally would to try and 'hear' the audio better when compared to other brands such as A&H which has far better audio definition (thus raising 'perceived' loudness whilst not increasing SPL) letting you mix better at lower volume levels.

So if you find yourself constantly having to turn up the monitors rather loud, and have been using pioneer mixers for quite some time then book yourself in for a hearing test.

If you are a DJ who plays at events then you will do well to stipulate no pioneer mixers on your rider.

Another reason to avoid using pioneer/alpha theta. Look after your ears!
