So here’s how this embarrassing moment led to these beautiful photos……

Ankita is a wonderful model who I had the pleasure of working with before. She was on her way up from Philadelphia to meet me for this shoot. I rented a studio space in Long Island City. I arrived 30 minutes early and lugged all the gear upstairs, but the owner never sent the entry code. I called, texted, emailed, etc. No code 😫.

30 minutes later, Ankita arrives and I’m outside with all of my gear looking silly smh. I was embarrassed but I had to figure something out. I reached out to (who also has a studio space in LIC) and .

Will got in touch with Anna from Elle Studios for me and she agreed to meet us there! Lavarro also responded so thank you! But we already confirmed we’d be heading over to Elle.

So we brought everything back downstairs and headed over to Elle in Brooklyn. Anna was a gracious host as always and Ankita gave amazing work as she always does.

I had the honor of being in a competition called Battle of the Brands put on by the always amazing . I only had 8 minutes in round 1 and 5 minutes in round 2 to take the best photos I could with .brown. The lack of time had me nervous but I made it happen. Check out the full episode on YouTube. I love the joy and connection Natasha & Jason have when they look at each other 🙂 The little glances, the inside jokes, the way they just get each other—it’s the kind of love that makes filming a wedding so special.

Weddings are full of big moments, but it’s these in-between ones that I look for.
