This song has had about eleven lives. I kept coming back to it only when it felt right, never wanting to force it into being finished. And somewhere between moving to London, my life doing a complete 180, and finding myself surrounded by people who inspire me simply by the way they live - enjoying life without constantly needing it to be more - the song started to mean something completely different.

I think I had to change, before it could be finished. And what I eventually found in it was really simple: your worth isn’t something you earn. It’s something entirely defined by you. I think we could all stand to remember that a little more.
E, aka SIMYA your voice has this natural soul to it — completely effortless, completely you. Somehow, while also grinding away at a PhD you gave it your ALL. We come from different worlds outside of music, but I think we approach it in exactly the same way: we make it because we love it. There’s no grand plan. It’s just something that brings us a ridiculous amount of joy. I’m so thankful that I get to create with you (and to my cousin’s friend who introduced us haha)
That’s also how we made the video. We spent the summer with a camera nearby - Barcelona, London, Prague, Turkey, Italy, France, our friends, random nights, little moments — nothing staged.
Somewhere along the way it became a little love letter to the people who have made this chapter of life what it is. To everyone who danced, travelled, laughed, and let us point a camera at them: thank you love you 🫂
