When I design a celebration, I don’t begin with centerpieces or flowers. I begin with the person I’m designing it for.

Who are they? What do they love? What feels like them?

And designing for my own princess was no different. 💚

Every detail was intentional. I wanted her quinceañera to reflect who Thais is while still carrying the exquisite, elegant and luxurious experience that defines Designs by Yara.

Because for me, creating a beautiful room has never been enough.

I want my clients to walk into their celebration and feel seen. I want them to look around and think, “This is ME.”

That’s where the design begins; and that’s what makes every Designs by Yara celebration uniquely its own. ✨

A priceless moment we’ll remember for a lifetime. 🥹💚 And THIS is what all that work was for. 🥹💕

After all the planning, all the secrets, the late nights, and every little detail… this was the moment Thais finally walked into her quinceañera and saw what we had created for her. 🥹

No editing. No perfect angles. No music added. Just her genuine reaction—and one of those moments as her mom that I never want to forget. 💕

I had spent so much time creating this celebration for her, but when those doors opened, I wasn’t the designer anymore.

I was just Mom… watching my baby take it all in. 🥹💕

And THAT reaction? That was worth every single second of it.

And while Thais was getting GLAMMED UP… apparently THIS was happening at the venue! 🤣💃🏽😂

I see a whole lot of dancing happening for people who were supposed to be setting up! 👀🤣

But in all seriousness… THIS TEAM. 🥹💕

They are absolutely amazing.

For this one night, my husband and I needed to step away from being the planners, designers, problem-solvers and the people making everything happen—and simply be Mom & Dad. 🥹💕

And because of this incredible team, we could.

They knew the vision. They knew the standard. They knew how important this night was to our family—and they ROCKED IT! 🥰🙌🏽✨

Apparently they had a little fun doing it too. 🤣💃🏽

Watching every little detail of Thais’ vision come together was such a special part of this journey. 💚✨

Her makeup was everything we hoped for — soft, elegant, timeless, and still completely her. 🥹

After countless dresses and SO many “NEXTS”…
she finally found THE ONE. 👑✨

It wasn’t just beautiful—it felt completely Thais. The soft mint green, gold detailing, silhouette and elegance brought everything she had envisioned to life. 💚

And maybe that’s the designer in me, but I believe the most beautiful celebrations happen when every detail tells the same story—from the dress to the florals, stationery and entire room.

This dress became the beginning of the vision we designed around her… and we haven’t even walked into the ballroom yet. 👀💕✨

After all those “NEXTS”… 😂👑

After months of searching, countless dresses, one very determined quinceañera… and one Mom who finally decided to sketch her own vision ✍🏽😂…

A little ✨Fairy Godmother magic✨ happened.

And just like that… we were getting closer to seeing our princess. 🥹👑✨

But don’t blink — I’m only giving you a glimpse. 👀😂

You’ve waited this long with us… you didn’t think I was going to show you the entire dress THAT easily, did you?! 🤭😂

The next chapter is when you REALLY get to see her. 👑✨

When Mom is enthusiastically presenting her ✨grand vision✨ after her daughter said “NEXT” to dress after dress… 😂😂 Eventually, Mom had to take matters into her own hands. ✍🏽👑

After MONTHS of searching for the perfect quinceañera dress and still not finding the one, I finally sat down and sketched what I thought Thais’ dress should look like.

Now, for a little context before you judge that face 🤣😂 — this child had JUST finished almost 3 HOURS of dance practice after school, was exhausted, STARVING, and apparently I decided that was the perfect time for my big presentation. 🤦🏽‍♀️😂

Her reaction was 100% REAL.

And honestly? It’s SO Thais. 😂👑

But here’s the question…

Did Mom’s sketch actually become THE dress? 👀

POV: You spend MONTHS searching for THE dress… and her face keeps saying “next.” 😂👑

The dress journey… and what a JOURNEY it was. 😂👑

We searched for months. Boutique after boutique. Fitting after fitting. So many gorgeous gowns, so many different styles… and if you look closely at Thais’ face, you can pretty much tell how she felt about most of them. 😂

Some were beautiful.
Some were close.
One was definitely Mom’s favorite 🤩… but clearly not Thais’. 🤣

And after all that searching, we finally realized something:

Maybe we couldn’t find her dress because her dress didn’t exist yet.

She didn’t just need a beautiful quinceañera gown. It had to feel like her.

So eventually, we stopped searching…

and had one created especially for her. 👑✨

But you’re going to have to wait a little longer for that reveal. 😉🔐

And just like that… it was time. 🥹👑

After years of watching our little girl grow, suddenly we were no longer talking about “one day.”
We were planning her quinceañera.

This Save the Date was the first moment it all started to feel real — the beginning of a celebration we had talked about, imagined, and dreamed about for so long.

From the little girl with the yellow bow and tiny backpack…
to this beautiful young lady announcing:

Thais turns 15. ✨

There was still so much ahead of us at this point — the dress search, the photoshoots, the planning, the design, the traditions, the surprises, and all the memories we had no idea we were about to create. 💕
But this was the moment we said:
