I have been thinking of decorating my apartment with things in October - sort of feeling / but until last week very much occupied with Diwali and Prashanthiโ€™s housewarming party ๐ŸŽ‰. So almost 10 days left in October to call this as ๐Ÿ˜œ
I have many ideas coming and going like flashes / more than going out and they are coming and settling only ๐Ÿ˜Š

First i have decided to make some diyas - made them with whole wheat flour and baked them and painted them with paint and embellished them with stones.

Made some orange and yellow flowers with tissue paper and hang them to the ceiling.

Used the mason jar decorations I made for Diwali. The stuff inside the mason jars is homemade (rangoli type but with different ingredients)

The placemats for diyas and mason jars are handmade,

Used jute burlap to add authentic touch to the ambience.

Bought marigold flowers to add extra beauty.

Glued orange ๐ŸŠ yarn to paper cups and put some LED lights in them, actually wanted to put those in a string of white lights but I could not finish that so I used them differently.

Added some cinnamon whisk to add nice aroma.

Then comes the imp thing - - the very first time in my life. I bought two small ones and few very tiny ones (orange and white) for decoration. Sunday I did FaceTime with Prashanthi when she was carving the pumpkin ๐ŸŽƒ her first time too. Then I got confidence and I finished carving my two pumpkins. If I had stopped at that, - I am a very ambitious person - I do not give up on things very easily. So this afternoon I bought a humongous pumpkin ๐ŸŽƒ, I could not even lift that one so I had to take the help of the store employee to put it in my cart. It took me a while to carve it but it came out very beautifully.

Used a cardboard box and covered it with a nice saree and jute burlap and placed pumpkins on it and I carved some of the small ones too and put LED lights in all the pumkins.
One more thing in my list is still waiting / baking some cupcakes - why doubt ๐Ÿค” this is also my very first time

so thatโ€™s all folks about me and my

This is a simple yet beautiful decor we did. Not too many details but we wanted some minimal stuff.
There are handmade stuff and some store bought stuff. since it is Diwali season and Karthika masam season, Sarada came up with this handmade diyas as part of the favors.
We ordered Dosa Live station and some light food for our guests which was a big hit.
As always we tried our best to put all together and it turned out a beautiful event with lots if joy, love, and positivity.

P.S. Please do spread a word to your friends and family and let give us a chance to make your very small to big events a lovely memory to you.

Lots of Love,
theTeam.

The staff were asked to volunteer our office Christmas party which was held on 9 December. I did from our office. I did plunge into the project with my creative ideas.
Everything is hand made except for the raw materials.

The decor completely reflects the holiday spirit.

Made food place card holders with glass candy canes; Printed some food (our menu) labels with all Christmas based images; decorated Mason jars which reflect the holiday spirit - lights, snow, pine cones, leaves and the red fruits;
Made , Bombay Halwa (an Indian sweet) with Christmas colors;

Made a beautiful garland with 100 multi colored lights string by knotting different colored ribbons (red, green, blue, silver, gold, white and jute).
Made cotton ball garlands for bringing the snow effect;
Made photo props; and finally the backdrop for Photo booth. Used meshed ribbon (close to 2 ft wide), with cotton ball garlnds and the lights floral garland as the border with some Christmas decorations.
Of course I was there with Canon DSLR and became the official photographer of the event and won the appreciation from many including the admiration and recognition from Ms. Bettina Tucci Bartsiotas (Assistant Secretary-General, Controller
Department of Management)
Her appreciation in her own words
"I would like to give a special thanks to those that worked so long and hard to ensure this party happened: Nandacia Jason, Alexandria Toth, April Gutierrez, Valentina Bono, Eugenia Beldo and Sarada Ravinuthala (who helped to make the event even more special by setting up a Photo booth, acting as photographer and bringing all the extra accessories. I am sharing below the link to the photo album ...",
She has even shared the link of my Google photo album with all the staff.
Very emotional moment for me as I have pulled up everything in just a week's time.

Decorations by theTeam
theTeam has taken an active part in a birthday party last week end. We had almost a month to work on this and we have worked in close connection with the host by discussing the various options for decorations - we have been on conference calls atleast two times per week and even more frequently when the actual event was close by.

We have used a shared excel file where each decoration category is identified and the tasks involved to achieve it and the people responsible for every task - the categories for example - Welcome table, Backdrop for the stage, Candles table, center pieces on each table, Photo booth, Sweets Stall, Guest Book, labels to be printed on return gifts to name some

We have completely taken ownership and used our creative abilities to bring beauty to - Welcome Table, Photo Booth, Sweets Stall, Guest Book, Papers Used for Guest Book, Printing Rachana's 17 photos (16 birthday pictues + the one on the day she was born). I'll explain in detail for each of these items.

For all the banners we printed (Rachana's Sweet 16, Guest Book, Sweets Stall, Photo Booth) - we tried to stick to the theme colors - shades of Blue and white

Table - We have kept Rachana's baby photo, we wanted to keep a pic where she was either sitting or crawling, a vase with white flowers, a pillow with letter 'R', - Big Paper flower, -madeBanner - 'Rachana's Sweet 16' (this one literally takes few hours to make those big circles with floral arches and the letters ) - thanks to Martha Stewart Arts and Crafts tools.

Booth - This one was an instantaneous hit.
The place where we had Photo Booth was originally designated for dessert table, but it turned out be what it ought to be with Baba's blessings
1. Hand-made paper flowers - one big blue, two medium sized blue and 4 small white flowers
2. A backdrop for Photobooth
3. Hand-made floral props (became very popular)
4. Sweet Sixteen props designed and printed
5. Small slate

Book
1. Hand-made banner 'Guest Book' glued to a Blue tulle and put it nicely in a photo frame
2. Printed various pictures of Rachana as watermarks on various colored papers so that guests can write their wishes and those papers would be nicely bound for her to keep it as a beautiful memorabilia

Stall
1. Hand-made banner - Sweets Stall
2. Cup cakes baked by Prashanthi Ravinutala and those are nicely wrapped in fancy decorative paper
3. Cake pops by Prashanthi
4. Cake cones by Prashanthi
and the rest of the items placed on the Sweets stall (gum balls, cookies, cotton candy)are bought in blue color to stick to the color theme
5. We have placed a cherry Blossom tree on the table to bring elegance to the Sweets table

Printed 'Thank You' labels to be affixed to the return gifts. Designed the labels with the birthday girl's attire, shoes etc with a nice message

Printed 16 birthday pics of Rachana with an extra one that has been taken on the day she was born which goes on to the 16 Candles table and the rest are nicely positioned on the walls of the party hall - the Pearl Hall at Chutney Mary

theTeam was asked to do decorations for this event with a short notice of 5 days. Considering the amount of time we have as all team members are full-time employees and the hall was given to us 2 hours before the event commenced, we could proudly say that we did a good job.

This time also we have depended on our creative skiils - taking the advantage of the artistic brains and hands - most of the stuff are hand made.

1. We have chosen yellow mums, pink and orange carnation flowers to make garlands and bought bells to hang them to then ends of garlands and made the garlands of differnet heights (2 of the same height) and the bells we ordered are aslo two of the same design.

2. We have decided to make Lotus flowers and since the occasion is an half-saree event, we wanted to make/or dress up girl dolls with a langa voni too.

We have decorated the barbie doll with a langa voni and braided her hair and put some decorative jewelry and placed it inside an hand-made Lotus flower.

3. So we made 8 Lotus flowers to place barbie dolls with lang a voni as centerpieces for the tables and also made a big lotus flower to go around the chair where the girl sits - big lotus flower petals decorated with some silvery floral pieces as each piece is attached in every petal in a single layer as a design around the petal (hand made)

4. We have used a back drop stand to hang the garlands nicely.

5. We have used some pattu (silk) sarees to enhance the ambience of the party hall.

6. We have hand made a pink floral garland which goes around the railing of the staircase.

7. We have bought some pink and gold colored sashes for the chairs.

8. we have made a welcome board with a collection of Bapu gari pictures

9. We have also made labels which go on to the return gift bags which has a touch of - the famous

10. We have even covered the Photo session of the event

Most of the decorations you see are all hand made. We bought a soft copy of the planets theme from etsy and customized them and printed it on Card Stock paper. Used paper lanterns to make the 8 planets and the background with Sun, Moon, Stars and Rocket ship. We picked Blue and Black as main colors with some glittering. We also setup the tables and chairs for the kids and I bought those solar system party supplies from online store, Birthday Express.
