Hi friends. This platform exists because of the metoo. movement. For me, the journey toward founding and hosting the Heal Metoo Podcast & Festival began with the Access Hollywood tape. So I just wanted to post today and say if the unfolding news of the civil case against Trump is stirring stuff up for you— .

A “…quite typical reaction to the notorious “Access Hollywood” videotape that surfaced during the 2016 presidential campaign, in which Mr. Trump brags: “When you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything,” including “grab” women’s ge****ls. When she heard the tape, Ms. Ross told me, “I didn’t just hear Donald Trump. I heard every man that’s ever hurt me. It was those boys in high school, it was my ex-boyfriend, it was all those men. For me, and I imagine for many other survivors, it was not just hearing Trump. It was everyone that violated me.”

A lawsuit against the former president is among the most significant developments of the post- era.

Take time if you can, to care for yourself. Listen to guest Ashleigh Andersen of Day One in S3E10, on why practicing self-care goes beyond bubble baths. It starts with asking how we feel and what we need, body, mind and soul--then intentionally giving it to ourselves, in whatever ways we can. In times like this, self-care is also a necessary part of activism, allowing us to not just survive the next days, but conclude them feelingn intact, resilient, committed to each other and to justice, and ready for the urgent work of repairing and healing our country.
