It’s been a few weeks and I’m overflowing with gratitude to God and my tight-knit crew of friends. After a year and a half grappling with a rare tumor, my doctors delivered the fantastic news: I’m off the meds! Being 5460 km away from my family hasn’t been a breeze without their comforting presence. Huge shoutout to my amazing village of friends who made sure I never felt alone – they were my ride or die crew, always there for hospital trips, treatments, and even just a chat to calm my medical fears. I owe them big time for their rock-solid support – I wouldn’t be here without them! Here’s to living life to the fullest, staying on top of those check-ups, and giving major props to my docs who never gave up on me. Cheers to life!

And hey, don’t forget to check in on those friends who are always there with a smile and a helping hand. Sometimes, they’re fighting silent battles of their own. It’s all about being there for each other, no matter what.

Feeding Hearts is a Birthday Fundraiser to Provide Warm Meals and Community Fridges.

Dear friends, this February for my birthday, I’m seeking your support to provide a warm breakfast at two Brooklyn shelter, each accommodating around 600 people.
Let join forces to offer a meal to those facing challenges in accessing healthy food during the coldest months. Your donations will go towards purchasing ingredients and supplies, with any remaining funds supporting One Love Community Fridge’s efforts to acquire new fridges.
These fridges will be strategically placed throughout the city, enabling One Love to store food donations for those in need.
Help me unite our community, fostering empathy and unity, as we extend a helping hand to those in need. Remember the joy when someone nourished you? Let’s share that love and be there for each other. Let’s Be. Let’s Love.

The Butterfly Effect dinner and event was an amazing experience that I am very proud and happy to have been a part of. An event not only for an amazing purpose but women entrepreneurs working together, supporting and building each other up. 

The night included:

-The debut of Butterfly Effect’s first film, “Chrysalis” .world
 
-An epic performance by Author & Spoken Word Artist Kofi Genfi

-Authentic West African cuisine imagined by Accra Restaurant

-Artistic photo booth installation conceptualized by MATAY

The first order of business on The Continent is to influence the youth through education by supporting 125+ students Lilies of the Field Academy.  

At the launch dinner with the support of all the involved , and have been able to sponsor 27 students for the 2020-2021 school year!  have at least 40+ students who require an investment in their future and education. 

You can support one student’s primary school and after school education for an 11 month period for as little as $1 per day.  Sponsoring a student is only $325 and includes:
-Primary school fees
-After school fees 
-School uniform
-School supplies
-One meal per day 
-Transportation 

Beyond sponsoring a student, you can support with an unrestricted donation that allows them to allocate those funds to build their state of the art facility.

(Beautiful Hair)
Hair has been at the center stage for defining and identifying culture and heritage. The African continent and Her people have not been left out of this adulation as it has been used not only to enhance the beautification of the wearer but also to share a deeper meaning.
Ntutu Mara Mma (Beautiful Hair) is collaborative project with Andreia Matay and Abiodun Adegawa which highlights the change in trends of African hair styles and seeks to draw attention to various symbolic references African Hairstyles have taken up, from its African Origins to Slavery and Emancipation, the Civil Rights Era and finally how it is viewed and interpreted in Contemporary Culture.
