Annual Ragamuffin Parade
Thanksgiving Morning
Thursday, November 27, 2025

Meet at the GBVFD Training Hall (43 Seba Avenue) on Thanksgiving morning at 9 am
(Light breakfast will be provided at the the GBVFD Hall for volunteers)

Dress up as a costume character and meet and greet children and families along the parade route and afterwards at the GBVFD training hall

We will drive all the volunteers to the parade start in department vehicles and then the characters would walk the parade route.

Parade starts at 10 am (corner of Avenue W & Plumb 2nd Street)

Parade travels through various blocks in New Section and Old Section and ends at the Vollies Hall.

We will make sure you have an escort/spotter while walking the parade route.

At the Vollies Hall, kids and families greet Santa and characters and receive a gift from Santa

We are finished around noon and ready to celebrate Thanksgiving with our families/friends.

You will receive community service hours and have fun while bringing holiday joy to the community.
