What distinguishes hamburger steak from Salisbury steak, someone inquired??? (My children posed the question.) The difference lies in the seasoning and the gravy. Salisbury steak features a beef gravy infused with seasonings and spices, lending the tender patty a satisfying comfort food quality. I trust everyone had a fantastic Rodeo Weekend!
Next Monday night is all about comfort, starting to head to my favorite season, fall. I love it. Whats your favorite season? So this weeks meal reflects it, however dessert is a summer treat. Pre orders help me determine how much to make so please pre order ahead of time. I purchase most all of my ingredients fresh. Walk ins of course are always welcomed.

Good Morning Peeps! Someone recently asked me about different techniques and tricks. Then they suggested I share some. Well I do not have formal training nor think of my cooking as techniques just cooking with love to make the best taste for you my peeps. But for the sake of my friends request here's my first "Love Pat"...RJs version of a technique.
Love Pat..Yes you can marinate your Sandwich Ribeye Steak!
You may ask why? Ribeye is known for being tender and Sandwich Steak is thinner.
It enhances the flavor and tenderizes it for Sandwich style. Its a short marinate, 30 minutes to 2 hours. Too long of time marinating can make your ribeye mushy.
Soy sauce makes a great base for your marinate, no added salt needed.
Be sure to dry your steak before marinating and you can prick with a fork.
As for RJs Ribeye Steak sammy for Monday, yes the steak will be marinated. Come get your yum on!

What a good time at the NWR parade. And we loved the people stopping in to see us at RJs for treats! Our Grazing Boxes made it all the way from an ambulance ride in the Parade with Mia and Kira to Chloe and crew at Family Credit Union Bettendorf. Thanks for the support.
Ate a delish Pork Chop at the Lutheren Church Tent and grabbed some tomatoes and Rhubarb pie at the Presbyterian tent. It didnt disappoint and I love to support our community folks.
So Rodeo on, peeps. Enjoy your weekend.

RJ Eats, 410 Main Street, will be open around 2 PM Thursday before the Parade til sold out.
