There are no words. Im simply speechless, and you all know that doesn't happen when it comes to me.
We cannot thank you enough for everything, and the turn out for the Monday Night Meal at the Alpha Legion Monday Night. The words of kindness, prayers and thoughts. Labors of love and effort. Gifts of money and donations. We are overwhelmed.
Its so important for you to know how very moved we are...to tears.
To give you all an update:
July 4th Brent suffered a severe stroke. He arrived at Mercy One in Silvis by ambulance and 10 hours later transferred to Iowa city Hospital where he had emergency surgery for the clot at the base of the stem of his brain. It was a touchy risky surgery. It was successful.
Spending 4 weeks in Iowa City hospital he was then flew to Shirley Ryan Rehab where they are teaching him to be the best he can be. Walking, talking, eating, sight, and hearing are some things the are working on.
Because his recovery is intense and unsure I have been with him daily thus the reason my business is on pause, except for events already scheduled. Needless to say our life has changed but we have not given in. And with friends and family like you, who would want to. God Bless you ALL.

Good mornings Peeps.
I know many have wondered whats going on but honestly Im not one to post much on social media. Recently we have not been open on Monday Nights but I have been fulfilling my event obligations. Aledo Hospital, a Family Reunion, ( sweet family) and 1976 AlWood Class Reunion.
I will once again be closed this Monday Night. I miss the kitchen, its a healing place, I miss the income as this was a career choice, But most of all I miss you, my peeps. Your smiles and friendly faces and feeding you was my pleasure. I want to come back as soon as possible but I am helping a loved one heal from a tragic circumstance. I do want to reach out and thank a few people, The NW Lutheren Church Breakfast Committee, your friendship and generosity was unexpected and so kind the gift was a blessing and be put to good use, Diane Ladewig, my Cousin, and Lorrine Moore , and Becky Jackson for kindness, labor and heartfelt support. Couldn't have done the events without you, sincerely. Patty and Kevin Krause, and you know how much you help and thank you, Angie and Sherry, the girls, for thinking me and gifting me food in Iowa . To Jil Carlsons family who have been such a great support, love and concern from the beggining of my RJ Eats journey and recently was no exception. Youve treated me like family and your so good to me. To all who have sent prayers, love and concern. Thank you I feel the warmth.
I hope to come back to MNM when the time is right. If you have an event planned currently, I am following through with all events with the same love and work I put into every event I do.

Hello peeps!!! Its a hot one. I hope everyone is staying cool. Last MNM and Im not kidding was a hot one in the kitchen but we loved cooking for you.
