The smell from roasting this over the flames of my stove takes me straight back to my nostalgic childhood—having roasted corn on outside some Pakistani restaurant whereafter we’d have some or with while a desi film played on a big screen. Also, can’t forget gathering around a small table trying my best to stuff a huge (at that time!) fuchka in my mouth as it shattered and dripped tamarind juices all over my clothes 😅

“The war stripped everything from me. As a doctor in Gaza, I went from healing others to being a displaced soul in a tent city of pain. I lost many relatives, my home, even my job – the very way I served my community. But amidst the rubble, a spark ignited. I couldn't erase the sadness, but perhaps I could paint smiles on the faces of children just as broken as mine.

That's why, with a heart heavy with loss, I'm launching my second donation campaign. These children, forced from their homes, hungry, and scared, deserve a flicker of hope. Many are sick, lacking even basic comforts like blankets. Life in Gaza feels like a constant struggle for survival.

Your support isn't just a donation; it's a lifeline. With your help, we can bring some relief to these suffering children and families. Please, consider standing with me on this mission. We have been working really hard on the field, me an my team are taking leave in the morning to pass your donations onto the kids and families in the south, and to buy food packs, meals and other essential goods them to distribute them to the thousands of displaced families. We would like to state that 100% of the donations have been going to the families and children in need, however due to the tireless efforts me and my team have been putting, we decided that 15% should go towards the operational expenses in order to insure effective distribution of aid, especially that everyone working on this campaign are themselves are hungry and in despair.”

If you consider yourself a human being, you should post anything to do with standing with the 🇵🇸 people right now. We are witnessing a live genocide right in front of ours on full blast, except from the eyes and views of western media—they are too afraid and blinded by the propaganda fueled by corruption and money.

Allah is watching. Which side of history will you be on? Which side of history will you tell your kids you were on when all this passes, when they hear more than 1000 kids, infants, fetuses were massacred in the largest open air prison with no escape or aid, with constant carpet and targeted bombing? What will you tell them when they hear that their parents who fought with their steadfast faith and stones to defend themselves from the oppressors and governments of every western country that we live in and hope would do good? What will you tell them when they hear blatantly lies without any care for human life just to further their agenda of killing off more and more Palestinians and Muslims in this world?

Read into what’s happening. Look further than the western media. If you can believe Trump would post fake news, you can surely believe it of this situation, too. Open your eyes and hearts to this!

We will not fall; we will continue to grow in numbers; we will continue to fight for what is right in this world.

Hello hello! Have I missed making meals for you! We’re back with a new menu with some of the old favorites. Now you can choose a base, your choice of proteins, a side and order some extra goodies 🤤

Currently, I’ll be taking orders from New Rochelle via dms and text and payment via Zelle or Cashapp.

Deliveries will now be made on the weekdays with orders sent in by the previous Friday.

HOT OFF THE PRESS! Popping Palates is finally rebranding with a cheeky little monkey 🐵(my favorite animal) chef sporting a beard just like me!

We're getting ready to keep poppin' your palates with new ideas and recipes!

This logo was designed by someone who's become somewhat of a family-card and logo designer. We know her through my cousin, and my sister Storytime by Joya who also had her logo made by this special person. Throughout the process of making this logo for me, she fell into a family emergency and was late for our 1-yr rebranding. Although Annie had to take a break from continuing to make this for us, we're so glad and grateful to have waited for Annie finish her design--just like the special bond we love to create with our clients, we hope the story behind this logo keeps that love flowing.

Hope you like the new upcoming look just as much as we do! 😊

Due to popular demand, we have an updated menu on the way adding on some customer favorites!

As we continue to grow (Alhamdullilah), we have decided to offer 5 meals a week (both vegan and not) circulating the menu every couple of weeks or so.

In addition, we will have mocktails and fresh juices, as well, offered at an additional price.

We continue to thank every one of our customers and followers for all the love and support. It means so much to us here at popping palates 🥰

In our home, growing up, we called it “Mumbo Jumbo”—it’s a mix of pastas with seasoned sauce and ground beef! To top it off, we add a handful (or two) of cheeeese making the pasta ooey-gooey yumminess! You’re bound to get a long, stringy cheese-pull off a hot pot of this baby!

As a complement, has a perfect garlicky pide bread you can slice and grill up with butter to make a decadent breadstick to go with this dish! 🍝🥖

Hello hello! I’m baaack…and launching meal plans and catering in NYC from the Bronx! My wife, Miha pictured in the first picture, has been tirelessly supporting me with the help of friends and family in launching this new venture! She has been posting everywhere and is now asking to be called my “Marketing Queen”—she has been such a gem in getting my name out there 😍

Since I’ve moved to NY and we’ve moved into our new place in Throggs Neck, we have hosted a few gatherings thus far and hopefully many more to come 🥳. I do the bulk of the cooking while she tidies and decorates and sets up the tables for a spectacular presentation 🤩

We just wanted to share some of the poppin’ grubs everyone has been raving about to help wet your tastebuds as we launch the next phase of popping palates—vegan and regular, delicious AND AFFORDABLE meal plans and, of course, more catering and events…stay tuned!
