I’mmmmmm baaaaccckkkk. Sort of.
Hey, there it’s been a while. This spring my family and I relocated from Jerome to New Plymouth, Idaho. It’s been an adjustment for all of us. We are currently building a home and with the timing of the move I knew it wouldn’t be a great season to re-start the flower farm in a new location.
Fast forward to today, my dahlia tubers had a rough go with the move and change of climate and now I’m battling new growing conditions, poor soil and BUGS (don’t look too closely at these, they are rough) but I’m happy to see some flowers.
Also, big news for me, I started a full-time job off-farm job. I wasn’t looking when a great position fell into my lap. In April I started as the Director of Communications for Valley Wide Cooperative. At this point I don’t know what it means for the flower farm, but we will figure it out as we go.
I’m still officially closed for the 2022 season, though I do have a wedding scheduled for this fall. I’m also taking wedding inquiries for 2023. Depending on size, I’d be happy to travel to the Magic Valley (and beyond!)
Thanks for following along, fellow flower lovers.
