We are deeply saddened by the passing of Bethann Hinig. She was one of the biggest supporters of the Performing Arts Center at Kent State Tuscarawas and Kent State University at Tuscarawas and a true champion for the arts and education in our community.

We found this raw footage from a 2018 interview where she shared why the PAC was so important to her and the community.

Her smile, her joy, and her passion for the arts will be deeply missed. We are grateful for the lasting impact she made on so many lives. โค๏ธ

Arts education is diminishing across the US, and art programs are being hit the hardest, especially in our rural communities.

In January 2026, over the course of four days, 38 Tuscarawas County, Ohio high school students got the chance to work with world-class dance company, Water Street Dance Milwaukee, through The Performing Arts Center at Kent State Tuscarawas educational outreach program.

Led by Artistic Director and Choreographer, Morgan Williams, the dancers learn difficult choreography, and get shown why dance is more than just movement.

I Can. I Will. is produced by 4M Productions in association with The Performing Arts Center at Kent State Tuscarawas and Water Street Dance Milwaukee.
