Coven Of The Articulate is over the moon to announce Karla Marie and Shimmy Shakti New Orleans performing at this year's Dark Gift ALLIANCE - The Thirst ball and social.

For the past 21 years, Karla Marie has captivated audiences across the U.S. as both a performer and teacher, sharing the beauty and cultural depth of Raqs Sharqi (colloquially known as Belly Dance). She has spent the last 18 years mentoring dancers of all levels and currently directs a vibrant local Shimmy Shakti Troupe of 20+ dancers—a beautifully diverse ensemble representing eight countries and celebrating the power of unity through movement.

The Mysterious Lady Shanime
From storytelling, character acting, Vaudeville, fe**sh, stilt walking, fire dancing, go-go dancing and burlesque, this Buddhist Green Witch has been a versatile artist/performer for over two decades. Bringing intensity and dancing in the deep end of the emotional pool, her passionate performances are dramatic and tend to "rip your heart out and put it gently in your lap". This is why, early in her performance/art career, she was deemed "The Mysterious Lady Shanime".

It is our pleasure to present Tanya Huang back again at this year's Dark Gift ALLIANCE - The Thirst ball and social.

One of the all-stars of the New Orleans street music scene, Tanya's unique violin-playing has brought joy and wonder to many over the years. Classically trained, she grew up competing and has performed with various symphonies. She has a master's degree in violin performance and has appeared in television and film.

She loves animals, plants, and sleeping all day. Her spirit animal currently presents as a bat.

Many of us had a somewhat challenging experience with the queuing process as potential attendees for the AMC "The Vampire Lestat" New York premiere.

In response, a couple of months ago we posted parody "gag" tickets of our own for AMC / 1iota affiliates. Please be aware these were published only as a playful jab at their ticket process! We have removed the listing in order to keep our ticket checkout smooth and simple, but we hope you will join us in our laugh as we immortalize the fun here by sharing the ticket description posted:

*Please join our waitlist to register.
Within 23 minutes of our event start time and at our discretion, you may be advised if you have been granted access to the event. Until that time, you will queue in a designated area two blocks away.

Famed vocalist and Dark Gift ALLIANCE member, Francesca Negron, has composed a new musical titled Brave Sons of England.

A new musical with a classic sound. It follows the story of Shakespeare's Henriad plays, Richard the Second, Henry the Fourth parts One and Two, and Henry the Fifth, telling the story of a series of rebellions and trying to answer the age-old question of what gives a man the right to rule.

Composed by Francesca Negron and Written by Ann Patricia.
