Cajun Mikes Pub and Grill on the first block of Barronne is a FAIL. Rude Ass bartenders and no one who appreciates any kind of business. Trailer park wh**es and a bar that was in business over 80 years.. Yet you are going out of business/ changed ownership. Go to freakish college and learn how to manage a business.. I spend over 80k a year on bar bills and my recommendations carry currency.. Don't f**k w me, Trailer Park Queen

BATTLE OF THE SALONS
Contact me now for preliminary registration papers. I am currently working on event insurance. The Battle's name has been changed to "The Battle of Beauty". I am securing my contract with the venue and event insurance this week. When that is complete, I will announce the exact "When" and "Where"- most likely by the end of the week.
Any ideas are welcome. I'd love your input on what can make this event outstanding :)

UPDATE ON BATTLE OF THE SALONS:
Hammond will be my test run of the Battle, if it works out rhe way I plan i will produce in other major cities. Venue will most likely be the Mezzanine though the Buzz is also an option. It depends on the number of salons or stylists participating. This is a GREAT opportunity to showcase your work and salon and introduce yourself to gain new clients. It is also a lot of fun and a great way to connect w your existing clientele. If you are new, it is perfect to get your name and expertise out there. I may add a makeup category as well. The event will be held around 6/7pm on a Friday night, with an after-party following. All ages will be allowed for the actual battle but obviously not for the after party. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served and a runway will be set up for the actual show or "Battle". I am creating the application sheets now and setting a concrete date within the next week before I go to Philly in a couple weeks. If this show is successful it will be held in other major cities. Again, this is a great way to showcase how awesome your work is and your specialities, and the title and reward are great for marketing. I plan on buying a full page ad in the Hammond newspaper to congratulate the winners, and a full page ad in the program book for yourself or your salon will be included in your fee. I have decided to do my test run of the "Battle of the Salons" in Hammond where I have more contacts in the beauty industry than NOLA. So any Hammond or Northshore stylists or salon owners, let's get together and get the ball rolling! I will need a tentative list by May, definite list by May 31. I promise not to price gauge all participants, keep you informed of anything as soon as i know it, and make this a fun and exciting event for all. Let's bring some class and style back to Hammond ;)

I am currently working on producing a Battle of the Salons, similar to the yearly event in Lafayette, right now. It will most likely be held at either JAX or the Metro, depending on the number of participating salons and stylists. If you are interested, look up the the Battle of the Salons in Lafayette and contact me. My planned (still in its infant stages) format is for participating salons to pay an entrance fee and charge a nominal ($20/25 person) fee for all you can drink liquor w an extra charge (probably a dollar or so per shot) for premium liquors or beers. If you are interested in participating, please contact me. This is a great opportunity to get your reputation out there and show off your work!

Lots of smaller projects (but equally challenging and interesting) and not so many big public events for now but that is part of business. It ebbs and flows. I will have a booth at the Ponchatrain Bridal Expo, come check me out. :)

Looking forward to seeing my work for Orpheus come to life. That's why I love event planning and promotions, as well as meeting new people. I also love seeing the ideas I give a business when in do consulting work turn out to be successful. What I am NOT looking forward to or enjoy is taking down the decor I was hired to do for MG!!! Lol
