In 2020, Cavassa independently released an eponymous debut record produced by GRAMMY® Award-winning and GRAMMY® nominated collaborator JAMISON ROSS. The following year she was crowned the winner of the prestigious International Sarah Vaughan Jazz Vocal Competition.

​​𝐂𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐠𝐞 “𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠” 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬. Originally born in Escondido California of Italian descent, she was largely self-taught, developing a unique approach to singing that would later characterize her artistry. Cavassa received a Bachelor of Arts in Music from San Francisco State University, but credits the Bay Area music scene for her “real education”. Following university in 2017, she made the move to New Orleans, where she continued her musical education in local clubs.

Foley also holds the record for the most Maple Blues Awards (27) and has earned three “Trophees de Blues de France”.
