Position Summary:
The Catering Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of catering operations. This includes managing client relationships, developing customized menus, organizing logistics, supervising staff, and ensuring that all events are delivered to a high standard of service, quality, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
• Client Management:
• Consult with clients to understand their catering needs and preferences.
• Provide menu suggestions and offer customized solutions based on event type, budget, and dietary requirements.
• Maintain regular communication with clients before, during, and after events to ensure satisfaction.
• Event Planning & Coordination:
• Plan and execute all catering aspects of events, including setup, service, and cleanup.
• Coordinate logistics such as equipment rentals, venue requirements, and transportation of food and supplies.
• Ensure events run smoothly and resolve any issues that arise on-site.
• Staff Management:
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise catering staff and service teams.
• Ensure staff adheres to hygiene, safety, and customer service standards.
• Lead team meetings and briefings before events.
• Menu Development & Food Quality:
• Work with chefs to design and update catering menus.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented according to quality standards and client expectations.
• Budget & Cost Control:
• Prepare cost estimates and manage event budgets.
• Source vendors and negotiate contracts for supplies and services.
• Monitor food, labor, and operational costs to maximize profitability.
• Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure all catering operations comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Maintain all necessary permits and certifications.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Catering Manager or in a similar hospitality role
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Knowledge of food safety standards and event planning logistics
• Ability to lead a team in a high-pressure environment
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Degree or diploma in hospitality management, culinary arts, or related field (preferred)
