When my daughter was just eighth, she was my best little prep cook. I told her, “One day, I’m going to open a restaurant and name it after you.” Her middle name is Amaris.

Five years later, that dream came true though it turned out not to be a restaurant, but Amaris Catering!

Eight years ago, we started this business, and eight years ago, she stepped into .nola with dreams of becoming a filmmaker.

Now, she’s a senior at SCAD in Atlanta, preparing for her biggest opportunity yet, writing and directing her senior thesis film. One of her lead actors is already a Hollywood talent you may have seen on screen!

We’ve launched a Seed & Spark crowdfunding campaign to raise $10K (though our true need is $15K). This is separate from tuition and each filmmaker has to pay for their own productions. We must reach 80% of our goal to receive the funds, so every single dollar truly matters. We have less than 20 days to raised the funds!
