I’ve been thinking a lot lately about where I learned what love is supposed to look like. That picture didn’t come from a movie or a book. It came from watching my grandparents. Today would have commemorated their sixty-ninth wedding anniversary.
From an early age, I had a front-row seat to a real, beautiful, and genuine marriage—one patiently curated over 60 years. I saw in them a love that was patient, kind, and steadfast. A love that felt like it would last past infinity. Life, as it does, has dealt me my share of challenging cards along the way, but watching them unfold has given me a quiet, unwavering hope. I knew in my heart that, if I were blessed, God would one day bring me a love like theirs.
And then, there was you.
You are that answered prayer. With you, I don’t just hope for that kind of love—I live it. I see it in the quiet way you listen, in the steady support you offer, and in the joy you bring to our simplest days. I see it in the way we’ve built something beautiful, piece by piece, with intention and care.
I find myself wanting to press pause in our most ordinary moments together. When we’re laughing in the kitchen, or sitting in comfortable silence, or when I catch you lost in thought—I sneak in these candid moments with my heart. I’m collecting them. Because I know, sixty years from now, when we look back, these will be the priceless snapshots of our beginning. They will be the proof of a love that was always patient, always kind, and constantly growing.
We are writing our own story now, one built on the same foundation of commitment I was lucky enough to witness. My most incredible honor is creating this life with you, curating our own beautiful, genuine marriage that will blossom for all our years to come.
I love you, past infinity.
Forever Yours,
Tee 🥂
