Here is something that gets left off every single event planning checklist we have ever seen and it matters more than most people realize.
When you hire a professional bar team for your private event your guests do not always know whether tipping is appropriate. And that creates an awkward moment that nobody planned for.
So here is our honest advice. Have the conversation with your bar team before the event. 🤍
There are a few ways to handle it and each one creates a completely different guest experience.
01. No tip jar. Gratuity included.
This is the most seamless guest experience you can create. Everyone is taken care of, nobody feels obligated, and your guests interact with the bar feeling completely free and relaxed. Build gratuity into your bar package from the beginning and never think about it again.
02. A subtle tasteful tip jar.
If your budget does not allow for built in gratuity a small elegant tip jar is completely acceptable. Just make sure it fits the aesthetic of your bar setup. A mason jar with a handwritten note on a luxury bar setup sends the wrong message.
03. A host tip at the end of the night.
Some of our favorite clients pull us aside at the end of the event and take care of the team personally. It means more than you know and it never goes unnoticed. 🤍
Your bar team is working harder than almost anyone else at your event. From setup to breakdown they are on their feet, on their game, and genuinely invested in making your night perfect.
Take care of them and they will take care of you. That is just how this works. 🥂✨

We do not make the rules. We just make sure the rosé is cold and the glasses are full when you ring that bell.
Honestly this might be the most important sign we have ever put at an event and we stand by that completely. No more searching for a server. No more waiting at the bar. Just you, a bell, and the understanding that rosé is always exactly one ring away.
