Thank You to All My Wonderful Clients
Around 1990—on and off—the floral world has been a home for me. A place where I could create, express, and pour my heart into something meaningful. After taking a long hiatus. Three years ago I returned to flowers to see if I still had the ability to create meaningful arrangements… (along with being a travel agent) and in my heart of hearts, I know I did. You helped me rediscover that gift.
My greatest purpose in coming back to florals was to honor those who have passed by giving them a final tribute worthy of their life and legacy. I have poured my whole heart into making every goodbye special. It has meant more to me than I can ever fully express. I don’t do this “just to do it.” I do it because it brings a bit of comfort, a touch of beauty, and a moment of peace during a time of sorrow. Knowing I have touched the hearts of so many families will stay with me forever.
Approximately six+ years ago, I also stepped into a brand new world—the travel agency world. My daughter would be graduating and beginning her own journey, and all I could see for my future was …having that empty-nest feeling. Little did I know how much this new path would grow, or how my love of traveling as a child (thanks to my amazing parents) would continue to grow as an adult.
Destinations by Julie and MEP Vacations—has been growing these past six years, and my love of running coach tours for the last 3+ years has taken me away from the flower shop more than ever.
Because I am traveling so often, I found myself needing to close the shop during times when clients needed me most—especially for sympathy arrangements. That has never sat right with me. My clients deserve someone who is fully present for them in those moments. I also realized I needed to take a small step back, slow down just a little, and truly enjoy the things and the people I have around me.
So I have made the difficult decision to close my floral shop on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. This choice comes from a place of love, respect, and honesty—for myself and for all of you who have trusted me with your most tender moments.
Thank you—from the bottom of my heart—for believing in me, supporting me, and allowing me into your lives. Thank you for letting me create beauty in your celebrations and comfort in your sorrow. Your loyalty and kindness have shaped my journey more than words can express.
As one chapter closes, another continues to grow…
If you’re looking to see the USA and parts of Canada join me on one of my many coach tours, I would absolutely love to have you along. If coach tours are not for you… I can also help you with your all-inclusive tropical getaways, cruises and other travels .
You’re always welcome to stop by my office. It is located in the Coven & Co Studios (the old Lillypad building) at 302 W. Waupaca St. in New London, or give me a call at 920-716-3615.
It is another chapter or a new book in the works…
But I carry each of you with me into it.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Julie
