Congratulations to Kelly and AJ whose wedding I officiated on Aug. 16th, 2025, Farmington Lake in Homer Glen, IL! They were so thoughtful about every detail, and they added their personal vows today to a memory box that also included items like a ticket stub from their first date and the piece of paper that AJ wrote his phone number on when he first gave it to Kelly. The path to their ceremony included a photo from every one of the nine years they have been together so far. Love never fails. ❤️

Congratulations to Gillian and Austin, whose wedding I officiated on August 2nd, 2025, Ada Street in Chicago, IL! The vibes were so interesting… you walked into the space and were greeted by candlelight and narrow hallways that led out into a moody bar and ultimately this sunlight courtyard, where their simple, elegant ceremony took place. Congratulations to Ally and Jose, whose baby girl I baptized on July 26th, 2025 at a family home in St. Charles, IL. I officiated their wedding about six years ago, and it is a joy to see a family again to celebrate their child. After a baptism I always pour the baptismal water on a plant or tree, and this Norwegian maple was planted around when the baby was born, so it is now doubly special. Love never fails. ❤️

They kept their ceremony simple, lovely, and elegant, much like the other details of their celebration. There will always be a special place in my heart for at-home ceremonies with lots of thoughtful details like their beach theme.
