πŸƒ πŸ‚ 🍁 These Fall themed cupcakes are not only beautiful, but they are easy and fun to make!

Acorn Toppers:
1) Dip one side of a donut hole in melted chocolate, then sprinkle with either chopped pecans, chocolate sprinkles, fall themed sprinkles, etc. Use a piece of a pretzel stick for the stem.
2)Put a little chocolate icing or melted chocolate on the bottom of a mini Nilla wafer, then place it on the bottom of a Hershey Kiss. Dip the bottom of a mini chocolate chip in chocolate icing or melted chocolate and place it on top the center of the mini Nilla wafer.
3)Cut a Nutter Butter cookie in half, dip the cut side in melted chocolate, use a piece of a pretzel stick for the stem, then sprinkle with either chopped pecans, chocolate sprinkles, fall themed sprinkles, etc.

Pumpkin Cupcakes: Use orange frosting and tip 1m to make the pumpkin. To make the vines and leaves, use green frosting and Tip 352. A tootsie roll works great as a stem.

Pinecone Cupcakes: Put a good bit of brown or chocolate frosting on top of the cupcake. You want the frosting to have some height so that you can make layers with the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. Start at the bottom of the frosting, then work your way up until you reach the top. πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ§‘πŸ€Ž

*Directions for Pie Crust Strips Topping:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Cut the unbaked pie dough into about half inch wide strips. Pinch the dough creating the crimped look of a pie crust. Bake the strips for about 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool. Break into different sized pieces. Set aside. Optional: Crumble up a few strips and sprinkle on top of the melted chocolate.

*Directions for Cinnamon & Sugar Pecan Topping:
Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a skillet on medium heat. Add the pecans and coat with butter. Cook for about 3 to 5 minutes. Sprinkle with a little salt, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon. Remove from skillet. Set aside and let cool.

*Directions for Bark/Crack:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 14x18 baking sheet with parchment paper. Cover the entire pan with Saltine crackers placing them as close as you can. Set aside. In a a medium sauce pan, melt 2 sticks of unsalted butter, then add the light brown sugar. Mix. Bring to a boil while constantly stirring. Boil and stir for 3 minutes. Add light corn syrup, salt, and cinnamon. Mix, then remove from heat. Stir in the vanilla extract. Carefully pour the hot mixture onto the crackers, then spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes. Remove then set aside. Melt 4 cups of dark chocolate in the microwave on 50% power in a microwaveable safe bowl. Check and stir often to prevent the chocolate from burning. Carefully pour the melted chocolate on top of the toffee layer, then spread evenly. Before the chocolate hardens, top with toasted pecans, baked pie crust strips, and crumbled pie strips. Optional: Sprinkle with salt. Once completely cooled/hardened, break into pieces. I like to store mine in the fridge. Enjoy!

The Frosted Apron: Design, Create, and Celebrate

My name is Stacey LeBlanc Dempsey and I opened The Frosted Apron in January of 2017 with the desire to share my love for cake decorating with the Acadiana community. My venue offers cake decorating parties for all ages, along with cake, cookie, and cupcake classes. My shop is the perfect space for birthday parties, ladies night out, office outings, bridal/baby showers, field trips, Christmas parties and so much more. I have baked cakes as a hobby for over 10 years and fell in love with the art of cake decorating. I opened my business to give others the opportunity to explore their creative side, while celebrating their special moments in life. I absolutely love what I do, and I believe a beautiful life is created one sweet moment at a time. I look forward to meeting new people every day, and getting the chance to make their birthday, or whatever they are celebrating a memory they won’t forget! Thanks for the support you all have shown me! Let’s put on our aprons and let the fun begin!
