The Wrinkled-faced Bat (Centurio senex) is an important seed disperser. These little fellows average just 20 grams (0.7 ounces). The habits of this foliage-roosting species are poorly known. They occur on Trinidad and Tobago, but are secretive and rarely encountered. As to why it looks like this? There are theories, one being that skin-folds act like funnels to direct fruit juice and pulp to their mouths while feeding. Bipartisan.

"What's the dumbest thing an elected official has said about ocean sicence or conservation" is always a tough competition, but allow me to submit "sea lions belong in the sea, therefore we should violate the marine mammal protection act and kill any sea lion that swims half a mile into a river next to the sea" for your consideration.
