After another successful event last night (200 Years of Music), we plan to end New Harmony's Bicentennial Capstone Week, with a 4p Interfaith Prayer Service at the Roofless Church.

Today's events-6-8 breakfast at Legion; 10a parade; picnic across from Murphy Auditorium follows parade. Then dessert at the Ford Home. Kids Games until 4p at old gym and Holy Angels Park. At 7:30 in Murphy Auditorium "200 Years of Music" featuring a new composition by Phil Hagemann performed by the local Wolfgang orchestra.

Bicentennial schedule for Friday, 8/8 - "Salute to New Harmony" will begin at 7p in Murphy Auditorium. Speakers from around the world will talk about New Harmony and it's place in the world.

Schedule for Thursday, 8/7/14. 6:30p - Dedication of Bicentennial tree at Working Men's Institute; 7:00p - dedication of the new "Room for the Dissemination of Useful Knowledge" at the Working Men's Institute and the reveal of oral history interviews of long time New Harmony residents .

Wednesday's schedule - 5p at Maclure Square dedication of the new benches. 8p - annual Hagemann music competition at Thralls Opera House.

The Bicentennial House will be open for tours on June 7-8, 2014 from 2p - 4p. It is on Main Street across from Holy Angel 's Park in New Harmony .
