.p.543 and I are starting to hike again after five years of injuries, PT, illnesses, surgeries, and schoolwork.

Yesterday, we crushed Cadillac Mountain in Acadia.

7.5 miles. Did it in 5 hours, including lunch at the top.

Not bad for our third hike back on the trails.

It’s pretty cool when your kid chooses a school that means so much to your family. It’s where I got my masters. It’s right down the road from where he was born and spent his first few years.

I can’t believe that he graduates in less than two weeks. I feel like he just moved in.

The good news is that he goes back for another year to finish his masters (in a 3+2 program) and he’ll be doing his internship with New Hampton School, where his love for boarding school athletics and the Lakes and Mountains began.
