In addition to its abundance of preserved farmland, the historic district of New Gloucester boasts a charming village center: the town hall, library and church are all within half a mile from Shady Lane Farm. The recently revitalized Village Store, with gourmet foods, fine wines, and dining area, is a stone's throw away, as is a lovely bed and breakfast. On the grounds, there is a pond, gardens, a

nd a spacious lawn ready to accommodate a large tent. The Federal style house has a first floor parlor room designated as a bride's dressing room, and other rooms can be made available upon request. The barn is unheated, so is appropriate for use from June through October.

It's been a while since we've posted, since we kind of go dormant in winter, our off season. But February means it's almost time to tap the maple trees, so that means spring must be coming. We can't wait!!!
We are working on website updates so keep an eye out in the next week or so. There will be gorgeous photos and inspiration from the wonderful celebrations at Shady Lane Farm.

We've been quiet on FB for a while, but we have had a fantastic season so far, which included our own daughter's wedding on August 18th.
So many people helped to make it a beautiful celebration:

*Luke Lannigan from Event Lighting Concepts did a stunning lighting installation (more photos to come!)
*Fosters Clambakes and Catering, York Maine, delicious food and great service
*Meagan Gilpatrick and Charli from Maine Seasons Events & Rentals offered flawless planning and coordination
*our own trees offered maple syrup as favors
And...Gracie Pizzo took beautiful photos!!
