It's been a while since we've posted, since we kind of go dormant in winter, our off season. But February means it's almost time to tap the maple trees, so that means spring must be coming. We can't wait!!!
We are working on website updates so keep an eye out in the next week or so. There will be gorgeous photos and inspiration from the wonderful celebrations at Shady Lane Farm.

We've been quiet on FB for a while, but we have had a fantastic season so far, which included our own daughter's wedding on August 18th.
So many people helped to make it a beautiful celebration:
*Sarah Pierce contributed beautiful (LOCAL) flowers
*Luke Lannigan from Event Lighting Concepts did a stunning lighting installation (more photos to come!)
*Fosters Clambakes and Catering, York Maine, delicious food and great service
*Meagan Gilpatrick and Charli from Maine Seasons Events & Rentals offered flawless planning and coordination
*our own trees offered maple syrup as favors
And...Gracie Pizzo took beautiful photos!!
We are so lucky!!

Late summer at Shady Lane Farm:
We are drawing closer to the end of a summer of spectacular and spectacularly unique weddings. The recent rainbow over the barn says it all about the magical moments on the farm. Stay tuned for pictures of the summer highlights!

Shady Lane Farm in New Gloucester, Maine was a great backdrop for them with it's low hanging trees, wide open fields, and a giant farmhouse to get ready in.

Our official season actually started yesterday, with the absolutely stunning wedding of Kim and Elek. They married as the gray clouds parted, dodging the threatening showers, and, according to them, giving a certain drama to their vows under the arbor. The gorgeous flowers were from Broadturn Farm, and the handsome farmhouse tables were from Heartwood Essentials. Event Lighting Pros did a lovely installation.
Thank you Kim and Elek for,starting our season with such a wonderful spirit!

Happy Spring, finally!!
We spent three months on Cape Cod this winter, and it's great to be back in Maine.

We kicked off the barn season with a big birthday bash for Charles, featuring the The Famous Grassholes, and with a special guest performance by Kyle Morgan of Starcrossed Losers. They have a new album coming out in June, so get ready for something brilliant.
