On Monday during our cookie decorating workshop, I shared that the majority of cookie orders I do are from verbal descriptions only. In each workshop, I try my best to empower each person to use their own creative mind and freedom too.
After the class was over I hit the ground running on decorating this Halloween order for Live Wedding & Event String Music for their Halfway to Halloween Concert. This set was an excellent example of how I use verbal descriptions to bring your vision to life. Before this email thread, we also talked about the general vibes of the concert. Nicole trusted my passion for cookie art and this is what I came up with!
Other times, I receive some general inspiration images or pics of the shower decor, invitation, etc. and I love approaching cookie art from that direction too!
After I confirm details I will reference inspiration pictures on my own and combine that with my own style and the prompts, descriptions, or pictures I was given. I keep everything organized on paper through words rather than visuals. As I'm decorating, I reference what I wrote to keep me organized throughout the process.
