Big Crown of Thorns mirror/frame.
Made with 1,428 interlocking pieces of laser-cut steel in the style of Tramp Art. This puzzle-like joinery technique, called Crown of Thorns, comes from Tramp Art, a Depression-era woodworking style pioneered by journeyman. We’ve revived the lost art using steel and brass in place of wood.

Pattern sourced from a French fillet crochet book printed in 1900. The chainmail is woven in the classic 4-in-1 pattern originated by the Celts in c. 400 BCE.
