As we approach our final performance for 2024, weโre reminded of the trials and tribulations that this venture entailed.
The fact that women in rodeo were left with no options to compete professionally within the immediate area, sparked the inspiration in producing our first rodeo. We committed to providing an opportunity for our professional barrel racers and breakaway ropers to compete on a weekly basis.
So we built a rodeo arena from the ground up, on our own land. Our inaugural event came with great success and even better feedback from our community, both contestants and spectators. But then only came more turmoil from our township- forcing us to shut down our event. This left us with the option to cancel the remainder of the season or relocate.
Within one weeks time, and with the help of some incredible people, we relocated our arena to Plumsted Township. The support from our sponsors, contestants, our rodeo fans, family and friends, were instrumental. We brought the American Professional Rodeo Association to an area that needed it most.
We look forward to sharing this event with you tonight, one last time for 2024.
