Responsible use wins in Connecticut!

Governor Lamont has signed SB 452 into law, prohibiting knowing releases of lighter-than-air balloons and requiring helium-filled balloons to be weighted at the point of sale.

This balanced policy protects Connecticut’s environment while supporting responsible celebration across the state.

Thank you to Governor Lamont for signing SB 452 into law and to Connecticut Environment Committee leaders Sen. Rick Lopes, Rep. John-Michael Parker, Sen. Jan Hochadel, Rep. Aundré Bumgardner, Sen. Stephen Harding and Rep. Patrick Callahan for their leadership in advancing it.
