The HOPE Initiative's annual plant swap is this Saturday, May 8, promptly beginning at 9 am; so those attending should try to be at our red barn no later than 8:45 am, preferably by 8:30 am.

Those who bring swapping items will have first pick of the offerings in rounds one and two, but those who initially don't have anything to swap will be welcome to join in the remaining rounds.

This event is rain or shine! (Looks like rain in the forecast.) That's okay: since we cancelled last Fall's swap due to the pandemic, we are anxious to see everyone. See you there!

After a year of postponing the Plant Swap, we are pleased to announce that this Spring's Plant Swap is scheduled for Saturday, May 8, starting at 9am. More details will be coming. The plants have missed you, and so have we!

Millstone Farms and Gardens was honored to host another wedding yesterday. It was a beautiful fall day, and the bride and groom did a fantastic job of organizing their special day. May their marriage be blessed.

Does anyone know what these beautiful, orange flowers are called? Someone thought they might be a type of marigold. They are actually growing in the gravel, not in the flower bed. I didn't plant them!

So, my little John Deere was having a hard time running, and the theory is there is dirt in the gas tank and/or line. So with the help of my friend Leon (actually, Leon is doing most of the work...I'm the "helper"), we had to remove a large amount of the front of the tractor just to be able to remove the gas tank for cleaning. There are numerous bolts and nuts, plus several parts laying around. I sure hope Leon remembers how it all goes back! (P.S.: I don't!)

On Saturday, Millstone Farms and Gardens had the honor of hosting our first wedding! Approximately 80 people watched the newlyweds' ceremony, then enjoyed the food, music and companionship. The weather was almost perfect.

This has certainly not been a easy decision, but due to the Covid-19, we have decided to cancel this year's Lavender festival. We will certainly look forward to continuing with this festival in 2021.
