On Monday, November 2nd, join us for a Friendsgiving dinner at Château Aster as we welcome Chicago’s Chef Javauneeka Jacobs to Petite Acres.

Named the 2026 Jean Banchet Rising Chef of the Year, Chef Javauneeka Jacobs has made her mark as the youngest sous-chef ever at Rick Bayless’ legendary Frontera Grill, where she now serves as co-chef. Her cooking style blends Afro-Mestizo history with modern Mexican cuisine and a sustainable, vegetable-forward approach, which earned her the title of 2023 Grand Champion of Food Network’s Chopped: Julia Child’s Kitchen tournament.

Gather around our table as she showcases a four-course menu inspired by some of her favorite Mexican dishes, from Barbacoa de Borrego, slow-cooked red-chile lamb shank with ayocote beans and peanut-arbol salsa; Tortitas de Plantain; Yuca Tamales; to a sweet finish of Peanut Flan. 🌶️🍖🍮 Seasonal cocktails from our very own Head of Hospitality, Andrew Prazich, will be available to raise a glass to all we’re thankful for.

Something beautifully haunted is coming to Petite Acres.

Join us Friday, October 30 for Monster Bash at Petite Acres with The Holiday Social Club! An immersive Halloween evening filled with ghost stories, live music and dance, an open bar, heavy appetizers and a dance party that begins with “Thriller” and keeps going into the night.

Come dressed for a haunted night. Costumes and dramatic attire encouraged.

We’ve loved welcoming corporate teams to Petite Acres over the past few months.

Surrounded by trees, Petite Acres has a front-row seat to the changing seasons.

We’re looking forward to the colors shifting, cooler days settling in and all that fall will bring to the property, from crisp mornings to cozy evenings and plenty of reasons to linger a little longer.
