💛💛💛
Hey Friends. I’m Kat, Owner of Lot 59 & The Local in New Braunfels. (big breath), So, here we are.
First, thank you to those that have called, texted to check on me/us. Today it’s a new world, and if you are a small business owner this is a scary time. (Oh hell, it’s impacting everyone). But today I can only speak for my businesses.
Today we are open. (Please hold your shame), I predict I’ll be having to close both stores in the coming days so I spend every second strategizing our next move. I have a child, employees, rent, product that can not be returned and product coming that was ordered months ago that cannot be stalled. Any number of businesses facing this new world is dealing with these issues and worse. I am not alone in this fight.
Here is the reality:
🌟I have a brick & mortar store and you aren’t here. For all reasons that are smart and understandable,..so how do I get to you? YOUR PHONE & EMAIL.
🌟How can you help? Open your mind to new ways of seeing what we have. We will be posting more, we will have a private group ( in efforts to fight FBook algorithms) FRIENDS OF THE LOCAL & LOT 59. (join us), we will do videos, special posts and cool at-home shopping opportunites.
🌟 If you like something you see, describe it, MESSAGE us your email, We’ll invoice you. 👍 This all can be done privately.
🌟 Open your mind to new ways of receiving your purchase. We’ll ship it, curbside at our store, or we’ll deliver it! YES I WILL DO THAT! (25 mile radius for now/ $50 minimum purchase) This is the new norm.
🌟GIFT CERTIFICATES! Any denomination can be purchased the same as above. They don’t expire. We’ll invoice ya, send it to you or keep it on file in our system to be used at anytime.
🌟Share! Tag friends on things they may like. Continue to purchase the birthday gifts, grad gifts.. those things will still happen virus or not.
💪We are not giving in! We may close our physical doors eventually to open at a later undetermined date, but we will be working to get thru this in the most creative way I can find.
❤️Everyone is processing how to move ahead differently. Whatever you do I’m asking you not to shame any business doing what they can to survive. The nuances of each business and their threshold of survival are unique. Be kind. And of course safety is clearly in the forefront. We just gotta figure out how to follow the rules/precautions to keep everyone safe and to cushion the gut punch.
We love you all. Thank you for reading. ❤️Kat
