Melissa and Kyle grew up one street apart. One street. And somehow, it took a cousin’s birthday party in 2021 for them to finally find each other.

But here’s the detail that stayed with me: Melissa opened up to Kyle early on about her fertility journey — something deeply personal, something that takes real trust to share. And he made her feel completely safe. That was the moment she knew.

Their January wedding at Mill 1 in Holyoke was everything — moody, dramatic, warm, and completely them. Dark candles, deep red roses, purple baby’s breath and disco balls on the ceiling, and their daughter sound asleep while her grandmother carried the rings down the aisle.

A cold winter day filled with so much love you could feel it from every corner of that room. 🤍

It was January 2017, a marketing class at UNH, and a group project nobody wanted to be left out of. Kaylee was the new kid in a class of sophomores. Before she could admit she didn’t have a group, John walked over.

That was the beginning.

They survived a brief breakup in 2018 — and it was that time apart that made it undeniable. They couldn’t imagine life without each other. From then on, it was forever.

Their summer wedding at The Villa in East Bridgewater was pure joy — blue hydrangeas, warm sunshine, all four of Kaylee’s sisters by her side, and John’s sister officiating the whole thing. And then there was Kaylee’s stepdad Peter, who gave a welcome speech that nodded back to a speech Kaylee had given at his wedding years before.

Full circle doesn’t even begin to cover it. 🤍

They met freshman year of college, living in the same dorm. David’s first impression of Brianna? He thought she had “crazy eyes.”

Before they were officially dating, they tagged along on a friend’s blind date at Bertucci’s — calling it their “fake date.” Their real first date came not long after: ice skating in Boston. Brianna had grown up figure skating. David was a lifelong hockey player. It felt like the whole thing was already written.

Their February wedding at The Preserve at Chocorua in New Hampshire was freezing, sunny, snow-covered, and completely magical. Their dogs Faith and Jasper walked the aisle. Their guests stayed onsite all weekend. Their friend Annie officiated. And somewhere between the sparkle of Brianna’s gown and the custom cookies with their dogs’ faces on them, it felt less like a wedding and more like a really beautiful family gathering.

Cold outside. Warm in every other way. 🤍🐾

He was bored. He opened Tinder. He swiped right on a girl in Connecticut.

Then her profile said he was 92 miles away.

So Jessica did what any curious person would do — she messaged him first. “Why does it show that you’re 92 miles away?!” Turns out Ben lived in Rhode Island and just happened to be visiting Connecticut that week. If he’d opened the app any other day, they never would have matched.

Their first date was Mystic Pizza, a walk around downtown Mystic, and hours at a packed pub during the St. Patrick’s Day parade — scrolling through each other’s music libraries and not wanting the night to end.

Seven and a half years later, they got married at The Hounds in Stonington — minutes from where it all began. Because when your love story starts in Mystic, that’s exactly where you go to make it official.
