Yesterday was the biggest and final day of NB Roots and Branches Festival and the best one yet. There'll be posts, and pics, and videos of the action for sure. First though here is the next of 4 posts that we want to use as an extra thank you to groups and people that are above and beyond helpful and supportive to the festival. They do more than we would even dream possible to make the day successful for you and we're calling in out.

New Bedford Creative's partnership these first year's of our existence has been invaluable. That has been true in their support through grant funding as well as their general knowledge. The festival would not have happened without their initial support at our inception, would not have grown and survived without the Wicked Cool Places grant in the intervening years. We are beyond grateful for the opportunity and aim every year to build an event worthy of the support.

They facilitate a number of grant and residency opportunities and we highly recommend creators, organizers, and artists in New Bedford monitor those opportunities as well as classes, workshops, and trainings they offer as well. We were proud to add their tagline to each of our artist posts these last 3-4 months and to put in here one last time for 2026!

They do more than we would even dream possible to make the day successful for you and we're calling in out.

Lightworks Productions Inc., and their synonymous owner Dave Lebeau, are the go to production company for lighting and sound at events of all sizes in the Greater Southcoast. School and dance productions, yes, and also weddings, theater shows, and festivals... and yes, our festival. As a stage sponsor, they covered all gear and tech work for the full day at our Pour Farm stage. Not just that, they also last minute offered us some 30 cable ramps which made it possible for us to line multiple stages on Purchase Street from one power box. Production situations become clear and/or change in the fly and sometimes we end up looking for solutions in a hurry. Dave and Lightworks made easy work of a tricky problem through a combination of huge generosity and an amazing inventory. And he's done exactly this before with me.

Obviously, if you have an event that needs full production lighting and sound in the area, you should contact them. They've got the gear, the experience, and the team to make all kinds of amazing events look and sound great.

Here is another of the 4 posts that we want to use as an extra thank you to groups and people that are above and beyond helpful and supportive to the festival. They do more than we would even dream possible to make the day successful for you and we're calling in out.

No Problemo is the place, and Craig Paiva is the dude. If you're in New Bedford area, good chance you already know. But we're not leaving it to chance. For starters, No Prob feeds our sound crew every year. Also, they offer us equipment storage space elsewhere in the building, and invaluable connections with local business owners and organizations. And it's like this folks: they aren't one of our stages, they just want to help and see good things happen downtown. That tradition goes back some 25 plus years now.

There are new restaurants over the last 25 years. There's a single one No Problemo: the very best Mexican-style restaurant anywhere in our area, the Cheers bar of downtown, sometimes rock and roll nightclub, and, with their neighbors/friends Solstice, the fixture at the cultural corner of Purchase and William that the independent business and arts community were built around and continue to stand upon. Did we mention the food is killer, the company is always the best, and the staff are * #%!/*!! awesome? It's our favorite spot to eat. If it's not yours yet, probably it should be. Get there and bring your appetite.

First and foremost, Symphony Music Shop , in addition to sponsoring two stages is, again this year provided all the gear for sound as well as techs for our two largest stages. In addition to the two stage sponsorship, Mack Williamson did all the sound tech work for one of our two outdoor stages for the full event. Above. Beyond. Every single year. As an organization and as people.

They support music in Greater New Bedford, generously, constantly. They're in it for all the right reasons and we absolutely know you should treat them as your go to for music equipment, rental, repair, and music lesson needs! When you do, you don't just go to the best stocked and most knowledgeable shop. You also support some of the very best and most generous people we know. For your musical needs, go there first always, and you'll never go wrong.

NB Roots&Branches is a fully volunteer run event, dependent on grant funding, sponsors and community partners.

We also would not be able to operate without the support and partnership of our Fiscal Sponsor Gallery X

Without Fiscal Sponsorship, we would not be able to obtain the grant funding that makes it possible to put on this event every year; and especially 100% free to the public.

This is why , when we say we are Presented by Gallery X, Inc, we say it loud and proud , because without them, we would not be able to do the wonderful things we do for all of you!
