We had an absolute blast creating Bison Wild Rice Meatballs in Blueberry Sauce, Corn Bread, and Wild Rice Chai Horchata for community, even leading an educational class!

Many laughs and smiles along the way!

Our love and intention woven into each dish and then sprinkled into the community helps our wildest dreams come true.

They have created safe space to learn, play, share, connect, and dream in the kitchen. Honoring our Indigenous ingredients along the way!

People cannot live if they are bombed and shot. People cannot survive if they are starved. People cannot eat if food is violently, actively, and systematically withheld. People cannot grow food if their land is destroyed. Their children cannot grow, and their children’s children will live with the effects of famine in their memories and bodies.

We cannot overstate the unjust privilege of accessing earth’s bounty in a time where more than a half million Palestinians face the highest possible level of food insecurity (IPC 5).

At tomorrow’s fundraiser at Bondhu, we will discuss and learn about the current situation in Gaza, how food is used as a weapon in genocide, and how Palestinian culinary innovation continues to survive and shine.

Enjoy a three-course meal celebrating Otherwell’s founder, Roni Bradley (): a story of hustle and hospitality from Memphis to NYC! Cooking up plans and new dishes with this weekend! Beautiful Stockbridge beans refried with sunflower oil and leek salt. Featured in nachos alongside chips, paw paw vinegar + chili pickled grapes, fire roasted tomato and chili salsa with rehydrated dried mango, and local cheese curds!

COURSE 2 - “Seem’s” Like Succotash - a fusion of succotash and niramish featuring long beans, seem (hyacinth beans), Lucy’s leek salt, local summer squash

and I are using this dinner to dream and cook up so many future plans that center culinary art as a vehicle for expression and liberation. We can’t wait to feed you, and we encourage you to stop by first or after for a beautiful cocktail! Head to Images at 5pm, Bondhu at 6… and hey, maybe Images again for a nightcap and chat about what inspired and excited you! Blessed to be in company with so many folks who are honoring storytelling and community in all they do. 💜
