What a truly enchanting September wedding! The dedicated team at 85 East Catering executed an absolutely incredible job, making this bride and groom's special day nothing short of extraordinary. This wedding stands out as one of our absolute favorite setups, boasting a genuinely unique and captivating backdrop.
The ceremony took place at the remarkable Spirit's Promise in Riverhead, a truly special location that functions as both an animal rescue farm and features a beautifully renovated barn, making it ideal for hosting memorable special events. If you're envisioning a rustic and charming atmosphere for your event, then look no further – this is the perfect venue!
The preparations commenced on Friday and continued seamlessly into Saturday, right up to the ceremony's start at 4 pm. We provided our guests with a delightful hour and a half cocktail hour, featuring a tantalizing array of culinary delights, including a freshly prepared antipasto selection crafted by our talented staff, a delectable European cheese platter, savory chicken Parmesan balls, and some crowd-pleasing mini cocktail franks.
Once the reception moved inside, the party truly began! Entrees were served with great flair, starting with a refreshing Italian salad, perfectly prepared green beans almondine, and comforting garlic mashed potatoes. Recognizing the groom's preference, we made sure to include a generous serving of his favorite baked ziti, along with a mouth-watering chicken marsala and another fan-favorite: the tender flank steak portobello. Needless to say, there wasn't a single morsel left!
The dessert table was a visual masterpiece, adorned with tempting brownie fingers, a vibrant fruit platter, and a tempting selection of assorted mini pastries. Kim thoughtfully set up a delightful coffee/tea station, complete with all the essential fixings for a perfect end to the evening.
