My fantastic team is finishing up catering the inaugural Appalachian Literacy, Arts, and Storytelling Festival at Stuart's Opera House and I am just so moved by the talent and love in our community. To hear artists share their stories in their own voice, see the world through others’ lenses, and see Appalachia beyond the stereotypes we see in the media was a true honor. Our hearts and minds run deeper than coal seams, and I am so honored to call this place home.
Congratulations to Kaleigh Rea Cox,and her committee, for an absolutely amazing event that I am sure will continue for years to come.

This meal doesn’t happen without amazing humans! In addition to the phenomenal volunteers from the OU Diatetics Program, I have to give a special shout out to my ride or dies: Dane Salabak,
Madison Turner, Krista & Jules Brewer, and our custom granola baker on loan from Crumbs Bakery and Butcher's Bites, Matt Rohal! Their dedication, as well as our local vendors such as Attican Farms, Crumbs Bakery, Blaney Family Farm, Shagbark Seed & Mill, and Laurel Valley Creamery make Bounty on the Bricks so special and such a reminder of what an incredible community we live in! ❤️
