🎼More than anything... Love is the most powerful magic of all.🪄
On Saturday, Carly and I had the absolute honor of coordinating the wedding of the newly minted Mr. & Mrs. Stumpf!
We are beyond grateful that Erin & Justin chose us and trusted us with one of the most important days of their lives.
First and foremost, we have to thank Mother Nature for cooperating. After watching the forecast all week, we felt incredibly blessed that the weather held out for their beautiful outdoor ceremony at Waverly Beach. There is just something magical about watching two people say "I do" surrounded by family, friends, and sunshine. ☀️
And what a fun couple to celebrate! Erin is a proud Hanson fan through and through, Justin can talk motorcycles, cars, and trucks with the best of them, and together they share a love for all things Harry Potter. Watching the little pieces of who they are woven throughout the day was such a reminder that the best weddings aren't about following trends; they're about celebrating the unique people at the center of it all.
Of course, no Waverly Beach wedding would be complete without their legendary broasted chicken, which absolutely did not disappoint. And for those of you who know Carly, you'll also understand how excited she was that the couple chose cupcakes for dessert. In fact, I'm pretty sure the wedding cake is the only reason she works in weddings in the first place. 🧁
The wedding party was an absolute blast from start to finish. They were so much fun, in fact, that by the end of the weekend they had given me a brand-new nickname: "Bruce," after the ultimate legendary Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen. Honestly, I think it might stick. It was especially meaningful because my late grandfather's name was Bruce, too, and I'd like to think at least a little bit of my relentless work ethic came from him.
Sometimes I wish I had a professional photographer in my back pocket to follow me around and take all the cool shots of what we do so I can showcase it for future or potential clients, or that I was a little bit better at branding myself. But the truth is... your wedding day isn't about me.
It's about you.
And honestly, the last thing I'm thinking about is taking pictures of everything I did so I can brag about it later.
I might get a second to snap a shot here or there, but I promise you... it won't look professional and it won't be staged because when it comes down to it, I'm too busy living in your best moments right along with you. 🤍
