Usually when couples tell me they have a family member making their cakes, I get nervous. This year I had so many beautiful DIY cakes and this was just one them!

We are a little over a week away before we move across the country & we are more than ready to make it happen! What I am NOT looking forward to is 35-40 hours of driving... ALONE! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ben and I are going to use our walkie talkies to talk to each other and play some games along the way. We also plan to stop & take a picture at each state welcome sign with the pups! I thought that would be a cute memory to have & share with friends & family. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For the rest of the time, I will need to be entertained so, please help me! Send me alllll the recommended podcasts I should download, audio books or literally ANY other suggestions you have for surviving a long road trip solo.

There is nothing more terrifying than leaping into the unknown. Completely relinquishing control and just praying that it will all work out for the best. I typically DO NOT approach life with that mentality. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Which is why this big secret I have to share with you is so HUGE for me, our family and my business. I tend to put work first. I show up for others, but not myself. I am finally allowing myself to not have a perfect plan in place and being extremely selfish. And you know what? 𝐈𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐬𝐨 𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐧 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝, 𝐲'𝐚𝐥𝐥!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Yup. I said it! Now I know I encourage authentic moments, BUT I also don't want anyone to get dropped on their wedding day. I always encourage couples to practice "the dip" if they are planning to do one. It may seem like a bit much, but ever heard of a lil phrase that goes something like "practice makes perfect?" Do you believe in magic?..✨

I do! Here’s why. I want you to imagine something for me real quick. Imagine you’re surrounded by your closest family and friends at a beautiful venue. Imagine standing in front of all these people knowing, without any doubt, that you’re as happy as you’ve ever wanted to be and in just a moment there will be someone walking down the aisle towards you who feels the exact same way for you!

✨THAT IS THE MAGIC, PEOPLE!✨

Of course there are some nerves but your heart in this moment has reached its maximum capacity for happiness and that surge of emotion is perfectly normal to feel! My advice, don’t hold it back! Allow yourself to feel every ounce of it, because it’s a once in a lifetime kind of magic!
