Today I had the honor to be a part of a beautiful celebration of life for a man that has left a beautiful legacy behind him. Sulers Chaiseree, the father of a dear sweet, fellow trisomy momma friend of mine, Kay.

This celebration of life was just that, a celebration. When I leave this earth I can only hope I’ve impacted lives to have such a beautiful and bountiful turnout as Lex did.

Everything was all about HIM. His life, his favorite things, and his favorite people. From Tacobell’s hard shell tacos, Burger King’s whoppers, Jets Pizza, a beautiful Thai food spread including sushi! A Ben and Jerry’s ice cream cart and an Elvis impersonator! Oh! And did I mention there was even karaoke!

I was asked to create a charcuterie spread and when Kay gave me the idea of an Elvis theme, I was SO excited! I worked so hard to not only find Elvis inspired decor, but to come up with charcuterie style items that could showcase Elvis on a plate, or well… a charcuterie cup.

Fools gold loaf sliders, Memphis style deviled eggs, gummy pink Cadillacs to represent the car he bought his mother, some Elvis stickers, Elvis hot sauce, a microphone, paper vinyl record table covers, a disco table runner, savory hunka hunka burning s’mores, and I even made a chocolate blue suede shoe!

I had so much fun creating this! THIS is why I love what I do.

Okay but this board?? It’s giving cozy cabin energy and I’m here for it, because who doesn’t love a savory s’mores board?! 🧀🔥

Babybels + mini Bries ready for roasting, sweet red pepper jam, warm red pepper bacon jam, & cream cheese… all melty and piled onto crackers like the grown-up s’more of our dreams.

Complete with little sternos right on the board so you can toast and build your bite exactly how you like it.

Sweet s’mores walked so savory s’mores could RUN.

‘Blue Jean Baby’ baby Shower spread!

This Blue Jean Baby theme was such a fun one to design 👖💙
From custom blue jean pockets and a mini clothesline, to denim teddy bears and little denim hearts, every element was curated to match the vision right down to the smallest touches.

I love creating boards that don’t just feed guests, but fit the theme, the vibe, and the occasion. No two events are the same, and that’s exactly how I like it.

Last night was the very first “official” business event for Brie & Bloom!

Ladies Lifestyle Network Knoxville hosted a networking event and allowed me to cater with a grazing table! Which was the very push I needed to take the leap and brand myself! At first I wasn’t really sure what this event was or how it worked, I thought “Hey, if it’ll get my name out there, why not?!” But this was so much more than just promoting myself! I got to meet some AMAZING women at this event! Seeing them and hearing them talk about their roots and how they got where they are now gave me SUCH a boost of courage! And most of all, last night was the first time I think I ACTUALLY felt proud of myself. I’ve done so many boards and a few big spreads, and I know they were beautiful. I do take pride in my work. But last night was the first time I stood and manned my table and got to truly witness the fruits of my labor! I got to hear these women talk about the beauty of my work, how they loved the variety of my spread, and most of all they ASKED ME for my business card! That in itself was worth every penny I spent to put out this spread.

My best friend and fellow business owner, Jessica Burkhalter, gave an amazing speach about “the builders mindset!” And she ROCKED it with encouragement and great tips for owning a business.

The monies earned at this event went to an amazing non profit, A Hand Up For Women! If you’ve never heard of them, PLEASE look them up! ( www.ahandupforwomen.org )

The venue, Printshop Beer co, was perfect! We LOVE supporting local small businesses, they are the heart of our communities! And the server was EXCEPTIONAL!

Thank you everyone who has supported me, lifted me up when I felt defeated, and pushed me to believe in myself! Especially my mother and my husband. Yall are my two biggest cheerleaders and I wouldn’t be here without you!
