This spiral staircase went from beautiful to unforgettable with a custom balloon installation wrapped all the way around it.

I do these little memory games with the girls where they have 60 seconds to study a tray filled with around 20 random objects, and then they have less than two minutes to write down everything they can remember.
I came across this photo from when Adaline was in first or second grade, and she didn’t know how to spell everything on the tray yet… so instead of writing the words, she made these quick little sketches of the items.
These three were my favorite. I know I might be a little biased, but I’m pretty sure there’s a little creative genius happening here. I mean, she basically just did completely deconstructed versions of each object 😳😘😂
But, most of all, she found a way to solve the problem with what she did know—and I love that so much. ❤️

One more reason I'll always recommend having a photographer at an event... even if you already have a photo booth. 📸
This photo is proof.
We were in Times Square doing what everyone does—trying to take a selfie—when a photographer happened to catch the moment from a distance.
And honestly? I love this photo way more than the selfie we were trying so hard to get.
It's real. It's candid. It's us.
As someone who plans events for a living, I've always believed photographers capture the moments people don't even realize are happening. A photo booth is fun (and I love a good photo booth!), but it's the in-between moments—the laughs, the conversations, the little memories—that end up meaning the most.
So, thank you to the photographer who probably has no idea they gave us one of our favorite photos from the trip. Sometimes the best pictures are the ones you never knew were being taken. ❤️

One of the coolest parts of what we do is watching an idea go from a quick sketch to something people can actually experience.
It's never as simple as the drawing. There are always changes, challenges, and plenty of problem-solving along the way—but that's part of the fun.
Seeing the finished activation come to life never gets old.

This is the part of our job that makes us smile the biggest. 🤍✨

Yes, we love the designing, the planning, the logistics, and all the behind-the-scenes details that go into bringing an event or activation to life. But the reason we do all of it? The people.

There is something so special about creating spaces where people come together. Whether it’s a brand activation where families make memories, a celebration where friends and loved ones gather, or an event that brings a community together—we love knowing that we’re helping create moments people will remember.

At the end of the day, the decor, the details, and the experiences are all about one thing: connection. ✨

Getting to watch people laugh, celebrate, interact, and make memories is the best reminder of why we love what we do.

We don’t just create events… we create opportunities for people to come together. And that will always be our favorite part. 🤍⚡

One of the biggest perks of homeschooling our kids and running our business from home is that, every once in a while, we get to do something a little crazy—like pack up the RV and spend a few weeks exploring the Northeast together.
If we're being honest, we never feel completely ready.
There's always another project to finish, another email to answer, another reason to wait. We never feel like we've saved enough money, planned enough, or stepped far enough ahead in the business to justify taking the time away.
But a few years ago, Jesse and I made a decision.
We don't want to look back and realize we spent all our time building a business while missing the chance to build memories with our family.
So we've chosen to take the trip.
To say yes to the adventure.
To trust that the work will be there when we get back, that God will provide what we need, and that the memories we make together are worth far more than another week spent behind our laptops.
We're learning that sometimes faith looks a lot like hitting the road before you feel completely ready.
Here's to making the memories anyway. ❤️

We love taking a brand and weaving it into the space in ways that feel natural—from custom colors and signage to those little moments guests notice (even if they don’t realize why it works).
Adding the logo is fun… but the magic is in creating a space that feels memorable, intentional, and completely connected to the brand. 🙌

Marriage is all about compromise, right? 😂
When we started Glitter & Lightning, I don’t think Jesse realized he was also signing up to share his garage with a growing business. 🤣
Somewhere along the way, our garage went from a normal place to park a motorcycle into a full-on creative workspace. Supplies appear out of nowhere, things are constantly being moved around, and every now and then I’m pretty sure Jesse looks around wondering when exactly his garage disappeared.
The truth is, building a business together means every part of life gets involved. There are late nights, last-minute problem solving, random conversations about event ideas, and a whole lot of teamwork. It’s not always glamorous, but it’s pretty special getting to build something together.
So Jesse… thank you for sharing your space, your patience, and your motorcycle’s parking spot with this crazy dream of ours. 😂🤍
