The Man in the Beaver Hat has arrived! Based off the character from the Holy Grail of lost horror films, “London After Midnight”, the guy was the original stuff of nightmares. Lon Chaney’s pure artistry with makeup was legendary and even though the film is still lost, this character still lives on as an icon!

So after yesterday’s post about that super cool project, we received a couple dozen messages regarding whether or not we were able to make a mold of Paul’s mask. I normally don’t ever remold masks unless given permission by the owner of the mask. That being said, Paul graciously approved the idea of a mold so we went ahead and made one! Will I be mass-selling these??? No. It’s an extremely special item, BUT we are opening up a limited run of 15 and then the mold is being stored safely in the vault! If interested, please message us! I’ve already spoken with a few of our best clients to reserve a copy so if we’ve spoken, your spot is secure! Standard copies (un-leathered) are $100 and fully-loaded (leather backing + anchored wire) are $130.

To say that this project was an honor would be an understatement! About 3 weeks ago, Paul Stanley from legendary rock band KISS reached out to me to inquire about repainting his mask. Paul had previously starred as the Phantom in 1999 during the show’s final year to critical acclaim! Personally, I’ve always been a huge fan of his portrayal and the emotion he put into the role. We finished the mask the morning and I have to say… I’m proud of my work. Was able to add a more stage accurate look to his mask and hopefully something he will be super happy to display!
