Rwanda Pt 1:
I post maybe 95% of my content on stories and forget to post to my feed, but 2024 - new year, new goals.
So for those that missed my story explaining, here’s a quick recap on why I was in Rwanda.

June 2023
I attended Carlos Whitaker and Annie Downs’ “Here for You Tour” with . Their Tour was sponsored by , they made 12 stops around America, and ANL picked 5 winners in different cities to go to the 13th tour stop in Kigali, Rwanda.
I was one of the 5 that won!

January 2024
11 of us boarded planes across America and finally all met each other in Brussels, Belgium, en route to Kigali.
Over the next week we bonded and shared an amazing experience.
We also met up with Annie, Carlos, and their team of 5 people on a few occasions- including touring an ANL school in Kayonza and going on a safari in the Akagera National Park.

This is the “why” I was in Kigali. But the true why is, God-ordained it. I’m not quite sure on His why just yet. I feel lucky and blessed that I got to go and experience a beautiful country and learn about an amazing nonprofit. I had so much anxiety about going and not knowing anyone, but it was a perfect trip. I think the enemy knew God had something working and tried to hold me back; luckily, it didn’t work. One day I’ll know why God said I needed to go, but for now I’m just extremely grateful for the trip as a whole.

Day 1 in Kigali was amazing.
The work that is doing and their hospitality to those of us visiting is just so impressive. At a loss for words but trying to take it all in.
Thankful I have the opportunity to be in Africa.

A lot going on at the moment.
October was so full.
Girls nights, beach trip, Taylor Swift movie, Boo at the Zoo, soccer games, play dates, doctors visits, camping, zoo field trip, planning for November, Pumpkinfest, cousin hangs, My So Called Band, neighborhood party, baby shower, Halloween… and a lil bit more.

Lots of dressing up for the girls so come the actual day of Halloween and they changed their mind for the 50th time. Big sis wanted to be a witch, lil sis didn’t have a witch costume but did have a pink dress that reminded us of Glinda. And so, they became Elphaba (minus the green) and Glinda from tho they have only seen the Wizard of Oz ☺️

My last game to attend of the season and a full moon 😍 Decided it needed a permanent spot on the feed.
I bought season tickets when the stadium opened last May and I’m so thankful that I did. It was a last minute decision when a friend texted that we could get seats together. We love soccer, we love supporting out team, and I love the date nights.
It’s definitely a bonus that our boys in gold are really freakin good 💛

This month has already started off so special. I’ve been able to spend real quality time with so many people that I love. Time away at the beach, a day of pampering, a night out with Blake, lots of snuggles with my girls, days without makeup ☺️

I’m spending my birthday lounging with the family and watching my favorite movie, You’ve Got Mail. With my favorite line that I always applied to my business “Whatever else anything is, it ought to begin by being personal.”

Shout out to these girls who have been there for nearly 10 years 💜 Adult friendships are hard (especially when you throw young kids in the mix) and can change with the seasons, but a handful have always been there. Even if we don’t talk daily or even see each other weekly. I realize how special that is.

I wish I didn’t care so much that didn’t have a Barbie box… but I do. So there it is. Seriously bummed to miss that photo op.

But I laughed. And cried. And laughed.
And I actually want to play Barbie’s with my girls tomorrow 💖

The hype is real.

Happy Independence Day, America.

We’ve celebrated all weekend with friends, family, food, and fireworks.

I think our nation is very, very broken.
Worse than it’s been? No.
Better in many ways.
It will never be perfect but I hope we can keep trying for perfection. So, yes we will celebrate what we have!

I know, despite everything, we are lucky to raise our children here.

The reality is, I’m always down for an excuse to dress up.
Earlier this month at , I was solely a support fixture ☺️ Standing by the hubs as he represented in Nashville and cheered on one of his Loan Officers/friends who received an award.

Happy birthday short stack 💜
When I was pregnant with A I had the fear that many mothers do, “how can I love the second as much as my first?”
But my heart grew in size and the love is just as strong and a little bit different. My oldest is so much like me, my youngest knows how to challenge me.
But it’s been the best 4 years of cuddling and giggling with our little rock star.

2022 has been so much better than 2021 because I continually put my family first this year. I’m going to continue to choose them first because they are my reason. ❤️
