A practica is a casual tango gathering where dancers go to practice, experiment, and refine their technique in a relaxed low-pressure environment. It's less about performance and more about building feel, musicality, and comfort with partners, often with feedback from peers. People try new ideas, test out leads and follows, and get comfortable before social dances.
