So incredibly grateful and excited to photograph these two beautiful souls tomorrow in Louisville Ky 💕

I’ve known the Leonhardt’s for so many years and the fact that this is the third and final Leonhardt wedding I will photograph brings out all the emotions.

Thankful that this wonderful family has entrusted me with capturing their most precious memories.

The day of their engagement session was freezing but so fun! So happy that tomorrow’s forecast is sunny and 75 😂

Holga vs Contax

I’m sure you can visibly see the difference because I used a flash with my Holga (I was losing the natural light!!!) but I believe each camera is valuable and creates different moods and emotions on a wedding day. Even though a Holga is technically a toy camera and the Contax 645 is definitely an investment, each camera is key in telling the story.

It’s important to have different film cameras in your bag on a wedding day to capture different vibes throughout the event!

Which do you prefer? The elegant, light filled Contax shots? Or the raw, fun Holga shots?

THE SHOT

Do you ever have the feeling you got THE shot?

Well, I felt it when I captured this image. You might be shooting digital or film but it’s just a feeling you have. I was shooting film and I just knew it was going to be my favorite photo from the day! I couldn’t look at the back of my screen to be sure but I didn’t have to, I just knew.

And when I got my film scans back from .co I could finally celebrate 🎉

Film is just so magical and I’ll always believe in it!

I don’t often post just one photo but in my opinion this one deserves its own moment!

From Kentucky to Venice

I met Julie & Jack on a whim while I was traveling with the my husband in Italy. We both share the same travel agency and while I was there I wanted a chance to photograph a couple in love. Thankfully connected us and that dream became a reality!

I captured their love story on film during their magical honeymoon in Italy. Despite the jet lag, we spent the day strolling the cobblestone streets, taking in the timeless beauty of the canals. There’s something special about film—its ability to freeze moments in time in a way that digital simply can’t. I hope these photos become cherished memories for years to come. ✨
