Lovely little details. We love to think outside the box and turn functional things into beautiful ones! These place-cards indicated the guests' meal choices with colored stripes and doubled as bookmark favors!

Last weekend in DC was incredible and we had the most beautiful weather!

When your bride (who is not a hugger) hugs you 10x throughout the night and the groom says it is 10x better than he expected… you know you succeeded.

The bride had a huge smile ALL day long!
I just loved watching her.

This design was a tough one to create because of my couple’s unique style but I love a creative challenge!

Such an incredible day. So honored and grateful to have clients bring me back too the DMV or wherever they need me!

I LOVE celebrating love!
Lots of you have been here for awhile and already know this but my business started out as “Celebrating Love by Marcie”

When we were getting ready to move to Nashville it felt like the perfect time to do a lil rebrand. I also wanted to add the word “Design” to open myself up to whatever Nashville had for me and I had finally grown in being confident in “owning” my birth name… Marcella.
Sounds weird but I always thought it sounded “snobby” LOL Just my insecurity and lies I listened too.

I have grown and learned so much over almost 14yrs now. Sometimes I still look at photos of some of the weddings I’ve done and say “Did I really do that?” Forever grateful for the being able to use the gifts God has given me!
It also taken me a long time to learn it’s also ok to be proud of my work.

Though nothing still gives me greater joy than watching my couples smile throughout their entire wedding day. You all are such a gift!

Thank you to every couple who have trusted me, referred me and have become a beautiful part of my life! You all are such treasures to me.

Hello, it’s me!
Just got back from a whirlwind trip to DC for a final walkthrough for a March 1st wedding.
I am so excited to see this vision come to life and have an epic celebration of love for the kindest couple.
I’m also in the midst of new design plans and onboarding new clients.
Life just got extra busy but I love every minute!!
Forever grateful to do work I love.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I work with the best couples and families!!

I’ve been a lil quiet on here for several reasons but mainly because our family has had a bit of a rollercoaster ride the past 6 weeks…

BUT God is good and our 2nd grandson “Emory Jones Lenick” was born Saturday September 28th weighing 3.7 lbs.
He is truly a precious miracle and we are already head over heels in love with him!!

He came 10 weeks early but is doing great! We will all be navigating the NICU life for the next 2 months but are hearts are bursting with gratitude.

Also, I could not be anymore prouder of our son and d-n-law. They have navigated this REALLY hard season with such incredible strength, grace, faith and courage. and you guys are something special!! Theo and Emory are so blessed to have you as their parents!!

Continued prayers are appreciated as we walk thru this next season.

Life is such a gift!!

13 years ago today I did my first official wedding with 265 guests! I truly jumped in head first.
& thank you for trusting me. I cried afterwards that I actually pulled it off.
I was 47 yrs old.

I started my event design business around 45 yrs old, and swore I was NOT going to do weddings;
only kids parties, showers & birthdays. Any celebration BUT weddings. HA! We make plans & God laughs.
Ok, I’ll only do them in my small rural town but not in the city…
Ok, but not in DC…
Ok, but not destination weddings…
“Courage isn’t the absence of fear, it’s doing it in spite of the fear.”

So here I am 13 yrs later at almost 61 yrs old (whatttt ?) having clients willing to have me travel back to the East coast (or wherever) to do their weddings, AND at the same time trying to start all over again here in Nashville.
Can you tell I still love what I do?

I honestly look at how far I’ve come & truly STILL can’t believe it - Ephesians 3:20.
It has been the hardest & most rewarding work I have ever done.
I am forever grateful God allowed me to use my gifts to design & create. Not only that, but to do it to celebrate love & marriage! - “And the greatest of these is love”
What a joy and privilege to be part of someone’s “best day of their lives!”

Feeling so grateful the past few days as I was thinking about my business and how it has grown over the past 12yrs. I would say 90%+ has been referrals from clients and fellow vendors.
My DC wedding in March next year started from a wedding I did back in 2018!! 4 referrals later…
I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who has ever referred my business! It is the greatest honor.

Exciting news! Our precious lil family is growing!
“Baby Peach” (as Theo has named the baby) is due in December. We are so excited and beyond grateful!
I think my heart might explode getting to love 2 of them.
