Calling all Friends! Artists! Community!

I became a DJ to use music and connection as a way to engage an empower my fellow human beings. I believe that we are the change that we seek and that hope never fails when we work together and believe that anything is possible.

Now I am calling on all of you to amplify this message, which is: we need to rise up and do what we can in our local communities! Right now there is a serious waste problem in the world but right here in Tennessee there are massive shifts taking place around us with or without our consent. Landfills fill up at an alarming rate and we continue to throw away valuable materials that can be used over and over again.

There is a learning curve here. Many people ask me why it’s so confusing to recycle and why they don’t have the services that they need and want. Other people struggle with making conscious decisions because plastic is embedded in every single product that we buy. Wouldn’t it be amazing if the producers of these products were held responsible for them? Wouldn’t it be great if was not just on us to figure out this problem when it really comes from the front end of the process?

This forum on November 7 from 8:30 AM to 4 PM at the James Union building at MTSU in Murfreesboro, TNis going to be a powerful demonstration of all of the players in this conversation around trash and how we as a community have the power to learn and ask questions and stand up to make a difference.

Right now I have the ability to share this knowledge and awareness with you all in a forum type setting which we can eventually create our own events out of after we have the knowledge to spread. it is my goal to host dance parties around missions like these using music and movement alongside this education and activism.
